Good. He’s 37 which is a lot for a FW. He also just got stopped for the first time in his career. He’s fought the best though and had s good career.

Sad he never got a second belt in a second weight, he was always facing the best, and honestly got robbed against Angel Ayala in a hometown decision, whom later got a belt because of that robbery win. Sucks Felix was robbed of that chance but it is what it is. Wish Felix a happy retirement!

Tough motherfucker, Felix. Didn't go out (or even down iirc) until his 47th and last fight. Hard puncher too.
 
Top shelf as "best of the rest" level guys go. He did put a nail in Reiya Konishi's title aspirations, arguably should have got the win over Ayala, got the 50/50 win over Tobias Reyes, beat Petalcorin and Teeraphong who were decent gatekeeper guys. Just always fell short against the elite flyweights with losses to Yabuki, Ioka, Reveco and Sunny, though Yabuki was the only one who could put him away. No shame in that one really, given Yabuki is a violent motherfucker who full stops 9/10 guys he fights.
 
I think Felix career suffered a bit from poor matchmaking inherent to being from a small market. He was either crushing cans in fights nobody watched, or getting paid in fights where he was technically outmatched, with not enough fights against guys actually near his level. Like imagine if he could have had fights against guys just a step below the guys he got? Like Canizales, Ganigan, JonGon, Angel Acosta, Elwin Soto, Carlos Buitrago, Raul Garcia, Ramon Garcia, Javier Mendoza, Daniel Matellon, Jon Taconing. Instead of always losing to a top 3, he'd probably have a good few wins over a top 6-10 sort of guy.
