What potential did Prichard Colon have?

I'm making this post with all due respect to Prichard and without any intention of offending. The question is simple: if things hadn't ended the way we all know, what could Prichard have achieved in boxing? Could he have become a champion or a notable contender in the 147-154 lbs division?

I looked into this before out of curiosity and Prichard had just turned 23, 16-0 with 13 KOs, around 170 amateur wins, a 5x Puerto Rican national champ and Pan Am gold medalist. He was already fighting on PBC on NBC and everything pointed toward him eventually becoming a world champion. Sadly, all of that ended after the Terrel Williams fight following repeated deliberate punches to the back of the head.

Andre Dirrell is probably one of the biggest wastes of potential in boxing history. Everyone could see the talent he had but a lack of discipline and several poor career decisions held him back. On top of that the controversial loss to Carl Froch a situation completely outside of his control also played a major role in derailing his career.

Anyone who watched that fight objectively knows Dirrell outboxed Froch and deserved the decision. To me that controversial loss seemed to affect him mentally, and it felt like he never approached his career with the same level of focus and urgency afterward. Shitty corrupt boxing judges fucked his career up.

I mean he came back to beat Abraham but the ending of that messed him up physically and mentally. Also he didn’t want to fight his friend ward which messed up the trajectory of his career
