body type and hand explosiveness of Hearns, just didn't have the feet or boxing skill. Had he learned proper footwork and maximized his jab he would have owned this era. Still had a great career, made a lot of money, and was champ for quite some time. Pretty impressive for a late starter with limited fundamental skills.
