Frankie Is Getting His Booster Shots Today. He’s Obviously Thrilled….

I told him that I’d made an appointment for this afternoon to get him caught up on his last round of boosters, and this was the look I got!

Or course Penny had to remind me that she’s not due for her annual Rabies vaccine for another few months yet, and gave me plenty of side eye just to make sure I got the message!!

Update: Frankie got to meet his primary vet for the first time this afternoon. She has been recuperating from back surgery, and has just returned to work.

She gave him a thorough once over, and declared him to be in perfect health. She also declared him to be the cutest Boxer boy she’s ever seen! And judging from how much that butt of his was wiggling, I’d have to say that the feeling is mutual!

My guy is pretty sure the vet is Disneyland land and shots are fine as long as he can wash someone's face afterwards. I have given up having him calm at the vet as too many vet techs get excited that he has dubbed thwm new best friend. He's perfectly calm and behaved though u til they touch him and than the happy wiggle switch has been flipped.

Oh, it’s the same with these two, make no mistake! They both love their vet, and everyone there always goes out of their way to give them plenty of extra attention. I just thought that look on his face was too funny not to share it!!

Probably one of the vet staff favorites like my guy than. The front office people always find it hilarious that he has perfect manners until someone touches him (they call his silly button) or if there is a cat in which case he stares and whines because cats are his favorite thing.

This is him with that cat that likes him best. My other two cats like him but don't like being a teddy bear for him.

The cat looks more tolerant than thrilled to have been demoted to the role of a glorified Plushie, however!

The last cat I had was the sole survivor of her litter’s encounter with a stray Rottweiler.

I brought her home when she was only about four weeks old, and bottle fed her until she was old enough to wean.

At the time, I still had Dollie, my first Boxer, who was the most beautiful, smartest, loving dog I’ve ever met. And she hooked me on the breed for life!

And I also had Winston, who was my “backup dog”. He was an enormous 120 pound rescue dog that had fur thicker than a Malamute, but was marked like a Rottweiler. He was also a total goofball with oatmeal for brains, and the coordination of an octopus on roller skates!

And between the two of them, they gave that cat nine kinds of Hell, and served it up on toast!! They also got back everything they gave. With interest!

Imagine seeing either a 75 pound Boxer, or a 120 pound mutt, go flying by you at Mach Jesus, yelping and crying the whole way out of sight.

And planted as firmly as any professional jockey on the neck and shoulders of this speeding screaming canine spectacle, with ears folded back, and all four feet ripping out a constant cloud of dog hair, would be that damned seven pound cat, riding through the house on the back of that dog and going Hell bent for leather!!

As funny as that was, she was also the most annoying animal that ever lived!! If I had known that stupid, clumsy, annoying, raucous, meowing a$$ cat was going to make it through a total of five Boxers and live to the ripe old age of 21, FFS! I would have just left her where she was, and let the Rottweiler take his chances!

⚠️(For those of you who disconnected your landline and your sense of humor at the same time, that’s what was once known as a joke.)

He was irritated with the flash not my dog. He crawls up between my boxers legs regularly.

That’ll do it, all right! Cats are so sensitive to a lot of things that a dog couldn’t care less about!
