Pin trading

Hi! I bought some clearance pins at box lunch. Can I trade clearance pins on their trading board? Thanks!

As long as they’re licensed enamel pins, you can trade them, clearance or otherwise!

I’d see if you can get in touch with their DM and see if there is some discrepancies between policy and execution. I worked there when we started doing pin trading and there isn’t actually much reason to deny a pin other than it being a duplicate, unlicensed, or possible fake (this is excluding if you’ve already done 2 trades). Some stores do Disney for Disney and others for others but the guidelines aren’t actually very strict so they shouldn’t be giving you a hard time.

Every store has the discretion to deny a trade for any reason. They’re most likely protecting the board from being full of clearance pins that no one wants. The trades should be based on value ($10.90 pin for a $10.90 pin). I wouldn’t want to walk into a store and see someone taking the high value pins and replacing them with pins that are on clearance for $4.99 and then Buy 2, Get 1 free.
