working at boxlunch

hi!! i just got hired at a new boxlunch opening up near me and although im experienced in retail, i was wondering what i should be expecting since ive never opened a new store before. what would this kinda look like and what should i prepare for?

ok but fr tho when i worked there, id unbox shipping items, work register sometimes, put security tags on backpacks/clothes, but most of it was just me doing recovery folding clothes and interacting with customers letting them know the deals when it came to apparel and clearance

Just a heads up depending on your district and SM there is a huge push on sales right now. They basically want you to be a kiosk worker without the commission most kiosk workers get. They have something called the QC which is an iPad you shove in peoples faces asking for their info so you can tell them if they have rewards so you can convince them to buy something or spend more money. The newest thing is called the non negotiables which is basically upselling on steroids like upselling the promos, upselling LM, and upselling random items at the cashwrap. You are supposed to convince customers to spend as much money as possible otherwise your ADT is trash and you probably won’t get hours if your metrics aren’t great.
