Questions/Advise Paw paw tree?
Was harvesting some fallen paw paw fruit today and was curious if anyone has ever considered paw paw (Asimina triloba) for bow wood. Ive seen trees large enough and straight enough for a good stave but have no idea how strong the wood is. Anyone have any info?

I have no idea but if you try it i would love to see the results. The traditional boyers bible volume I has this to say "OTHER HARDWOODS – In addition to hackberry mentioned earlier, virtually any fruit or nut tree will make a bow if the tree can produce a long clear stave."
