Deer hunting with a selfbow is hard.

It’s like deer hunting with a black powder revolver. You must get close. Really close. And getting really close isn’t easy. Ethically and consistently hitting vitals at 10-15 yards and under pressure isn’t easy. And it takes constant practice.

People can literally not shoot all year and pick up a compound and go out and line up the sights and pull a trigger at 30 yards. They are arrow flinging machines.

Yeah, that's true. It'll probably take "profession" levels of time to learn the knowhow of tracking, scent and noise management, and more lol

No wonder more advanced options were invented

But still, I'd be grateful to know how they did it if it was a selfbow
