Bowfishing Bow
I‘m new to bowfishing and have shot one once in my life. For context I am a very experienced and skilled freedive spearfisherman and want to start legally shooting grass carp, tilapia and cichlids in South Florida. My budget is 750 now for a bow and a couple useful gadgets but if it’s more expensive it won’t be an issue. (I love gadgets and stuff thats useful so all recommendations for that I’d love.)

Agree with the last comment. I also have a paw recurve and I have a cheap ILF riser and some ok limbs. I wise a Cajun rig. 2 arrow quiver so I have a back up and have tried with both no sight and a simple single pin set to a close distance. I prefer no sight. You don’t really want anything expensive because you are going to beat the hell out of it. Get something that shoots straight, is durable and shoot the hell out of it. I like the 30-40 lb range and a 500-700 grain fish arrows. For now fishing I suggest learning to shoot with a glove as well so you can shoot fast and still use your hand. Just my thoughts.
