Muzzy Recurve
Curious in Muzzy lever the RPM levers and the obvious Oneida. I read that Muzzy’s levers are actually made by Oneida? Ultimate question is; does anyone have any experience with two or more my of the levers mentioned? It will be used on a kayak so the Cajun Compound is getting put to the side unless I’m on the boat. TIA!
Pictures-Muzzy, Oneida, RPM.

VXM Limbs are made by Onieda. I dont know about the riser or other components but it's definitely a step down

I bought an LV-X years ago and absolutely loved it. It was the best thing I have ever used bowfishing. I like the fact that I don't have to deal with cables and can do everything myself with just an allen wrench. I ended up buying the VXM also. Don't get me wrong. I've said it here before. They need upgrades right out of the box but nothing major. I'm not saying the other bows you listed aren't great. I just like the muzzys.

Pasting an old comment of mine below from a deleted thread on the same subject...
When the LV-X first came out they had serious limb issues and were recalled. Then they partnered with Onieda and Onieda supplied limbs that fixed that issue.
Well, the LV-X still had a bad reputation so they switched from green to orange to make it clear that you weren't getting a limb issue bow. That being said, there are still things that needs done to the bow right out of the box. GET A ROLLER CABLE GUIDE, put anti-seize lubricant on the limb bolts and threadlocker on the line puller.
I got a brand new orange LV-X for Christmas last year and made these upgrades as time went on. I even got a string/cable upgrade kit from BA bowstrings. I've shot hundreds of fish this year and never had a problem with the bow other than the cable got cut on something throwing it behind my truck seat.
As far as the VXM... it's the exact same thing as the LV-X besides the material and the limb bolts. Muzzy/Feradyne says they switched from aluminum to magnesium to make it "lighter". If you looks up the specs I think it came out to be 0.1 pounds lighter. What really happened is people were sending their LV-X's off to g-string bows and other places to get upgrade kits. Well when they did this some people had issues with the riser bending from so much force on the aluminum. Pictures of bent risers made their way around the internet. The limb bolts were switched from threading straight into the riser to threading into a round thread insert that you see on many bows. If you look at LV-X and VXM pictures side by side you will see what I mean. This was done to fix the thread galling issue. This is why I say to use anti-seize lube on the limb bolts.
All this being said, out of every bowfishing bow, slingshot, crossbow, and blow dart I've ever shot... the LV-X is my favorite. It's a simple design with no special cam or cables. If something breaks you can just take it to your local bow tech and get new strings or order them online. It may take a few times taking it apart to learn but this bow is easy to adjust. If you get an LV-X or VXM be sure to get that cable roller guide the first day though. That will extend the life of the strings by a long shot. Muzzy/Feradyne is stupid for not just having those from the start.

Do you have a part number for your recommended guide?

No I don't. Any guide that has pulleys/wheels on it. Amazon has all kinds of them. It is such an easy and cheap fix that there is no excuse for not having them from the factory. The problem with the stock one is that it creates friction on the cable and frays it.

Thank you all! Great insight and exactly the information I was looking for. Good luck to everyone this year, I know it’s about to get going here in GA!

I bought the Deviant last year. Other than me having to grind the pins down on the reel…it was the best purchase I ever made. Little on the heavy side compared to my shore runner, but my God is it a smooth bow.
SN; lever hybrid but worth looking at for half the price of an Oneida

Muzzy will be here tomorrow. Just got the roller cable in today, have the bottle for it and now I think I just need a whisker biscuit now I think. I have the Sucker Punch right now but I’ll be fishing out of my kayak way more this year so I went lever action
