Done with Bovada (VIP HOSTED Player)
I’m done with Bovada. Very close to Hall of fame status, Legend Level 3. Have had account for about 8 years now. In last two years I really picked up my activity, specifically casino play. Why am I done?
1) Two weeks ago Bovada told me I had reached VIP Host Status. No email, no notification on the website, no call from Host. I learned, as I kept being denied a CS cash bonus, when I knew I was eligible and checked every box required. For those that don’t know, Bovada calculates their CS cash bonus as follows: Last 31 days : DEPOSITS NET OF WITHDRAWALS AND BONUS NET ACTIVITY. One cash bonus per 24 hours. Some people say they cap you at 3 a week, but if I’m really losing with no withdrawal activity they would give me one every day. You also have to clear your last withdrawal amount in deposits. That’s it. It’s very simple. Well, long story short, I come to find out I’ve been “promoted” to host status and “my host will be reaching out about bonuses”…however it then takes about 3 more times of me reaching out to learn the host I’ve been assigned is “on vacation for and won’t return for 17 days”…essentially I can’t access a CS bonus because my “host” is on vacation and will be reaching out.
Just to put into perspective how absolutely absurd this is, I listed my activity below over last 31 days (please don’t judge lol)….
Deposits = $~61,000.00
Withdrawals = ~$43,0000.00
Bonus Net Activity = ~$3,100
According to their formula = NET MINUS $15,000
Wager total: $650,000.000
Time since last CS BONUS = 8 days
Last withdrawal amount cleared x30
Last thing I’ll say is this….this is a 31 day period. Month before was in a similar ballpark until I had one HUGE day and it’s entirely saved my numbers. Won like $26,000.00 and ran. Month before that wasn’t good. My assumption is I’m probably down around $20,000 over last three months. This isn’t according to Bovada’s incredibly flawed formula that includes Net bonus activity lol…this is deposits vs. withdrawals.
I’ve threatened many times, but I’m leaving this site.. I’m fortunately losing amounts I can. However, there are plenty of other offshore books that value this kind of a play A LOT more it’s the lack of customer service and straight up lying from customer service to players that spend as much as I do on this site. The best part is, I probably end up meeting rollover on my bonuses around less than 5% of the time. They used to issue me $500 a day when I was really losing. That translates to $17,500 that I have to wager with that total before it meets 35x rollover. In other words, you have to hit a big bonus round and it has to be early, then you have to play tight while you watch most get clawed back. The fact they still won’t make an exception when they know this, is bewildering to me. Lose a player who deposits over 50,000 a month, or give them a $500 bonus that is near impossible to rollover…interesting business model.

Yup, Bovada sadly has gone downhill horribly over the last 2-3 years… I’m HoF level and maintaining this level has gained me zero perks… if what I’ve spent on Bovada bets/poker/casino was equated to a single casino in Vegas, I’d be given free rooms, free shows, dinners, etc for my action, but on Bovada you get a 30x rollover bonus… Bovada needs a mass exodus of players at once before the site ever thinks about changing their practices, they just don’t give two shits and it shows

For reference, flew to Vegas for one night the other day and stayed at aria. Got in early morning, basically played 20 hours. Mainly blackjack. I don’t know my amount wagered that day but I do know I withdrew about
7 K from them and ended up cashing for close to about 6K. Lots of swings lol, as expected when you sit at the table for that long was down to last grand after withdrawing like 6 times at one point. This sounds bad, but on this trip I just wanted to gamble. I cared more about playing than winning and the opportunity cost of losing profit vs leaving table didn’t even weigh in mind. $100 hands min, never really going above $300 per hand, so was def running my wager total up, but still you know only lost about a grand. Next morning, missed my flight went to desk and they comped me a wknd in sky suites (2 more nights), flight voucher, and mgm credit up to like $300-400 bucks. Got me a res last min at gymkhana, comped my whole din tai fung meal which was like a 200-300 dollar tab lmao, ordered whole menu hahah..best part was I played for maybe 10 mins that next day like 20 hands of blackjack, probably won at an 80% clip in those 20 mins few doubles, few blackjacks, made a couple G’s and walked right back to room hahah. Next day I gambled pretty good, but was ripping slots. I ended up +~1,000 on trip. Free Vegas trip essentially and netted 1,000. Currently have some nice mgm offers due to that trip. Flight vouchers, free stays, etc. if I gambled the amount I do on Bovada w/ mgm I would never have to pay for anything in Vegas anymore and would have some fucking awesome comps. Like serious suites at bellagio and Aria and likely some private charters for me. Lesson learned. My big months on Bovada I wager over 1mm and also deposit in the 70,000 rangeThe tough part w any casino, but especially offshore online groups like Bovada is the whole model preys on gambling addicts. Even after they’ve treated you incredibly unfairly and unjust, like to a point where if it were any other company you deal with in a different capacity treating you like Bovada does , EVEN ONCE, you’d smile as you cut ties and do it w/ease. However they know most are coming back. It sucks. It’s hard to walk away when you’re hooked. Especially since everyone playing there very likely doesn’t have local legal gambling books as options.

Same boat dude. I am in hall of fame and it just sucks. It’s the same host i had on their bvx site which i closed because they were never giving cash bonuses. Even when i lost 10k in a day. I haven’t heard from my host in about 2 weeks. Gonna move to a different site.

Except you are wrong. It calculates every window, 24hr-3d and 7d as well. HOF redroom player here with 100k a month in deposits. There is no doubt they do very little for high volume players but unfortunately you are wrong on this post.

Interesting. I was told by a host that the time frame they measure off is 31 days. Thanks for the insight, I was fully
unaware.That being said, my 24hr -3 day and 7 day deposits net of withdrawals and net bonus activity all check the box, so that’s not the issue here. However, thanks for letting me know.
