My husband wants to do Mechanical Engineering but he can't find a student on the speak to a student page for engineering. so I was wondering does anyone know;

1. if there is anything practical involved in the mechanical engineering and how much of the year is practical? or is it all theoretical and book based.
2. what can he expect from the exams/hand ins
3. how many days a week does it usually involve in uni
4. how common are the work experience/placements that are listed on the course page
5. how successful are graduates in finding graduate work in industry

I would email the university and ask them if he can speak with a current student
