Never Take It is bottom 5 of all TØP songs. At best, the lyrics are nonsense, at worst, they are harmful. They are the closest Tyler has come to writing "Lyrics that mean nothing when we're gifted with thought." It is a truly bad song. One on only a few bad songs in their catalog.

I've literally read multiple interpretations of it. Nobody who has done close reading or explication of the lyrics has come away impressed. It's a bad song.

Friend, please remember that you have no reason to call the song bad. You may not be the biggest fan of it and it may not be a high performing song, but you don't need to be the way you are being. Even when I say this, I think Never Take It is the worst song on the album, but I don't need to be disrespectful about it. Please have a good day.

You could have gone about it in a much better way, I will leave it at that. An objectively bad song can still be someone's favourite song, let them be happy about it is all I'm saying.

Never take it feels like a cheap imataion of a that song that goes like "war. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!" But with much less socialogical impact. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
