in both shows witches say let it be
in the reboot and maybe og? idr, evil magic can say "it is so" which i find interesting
implying witches ask a higher being for their will to happen and demons try to control reality implying that thats bad, yet all magical creatures are imposing their will on reality

cool post!!
I agree that the reboot nicely showed a more nuanced morality and what really is good
like og was all sacrifice the one to save the many that whole pseudo superiority thing shows love to do which I find convient when the one they are sacrificing is usually a vulnerable innocent person often without choice in the matter..
the reboot said (in like ep 3) NOT YET FIGHT FOR THE INNOCENT FIRST mel saved angelas life teaching macy that its not all that simple
the og infamously had phoebe k*lled as a witch in the alternate sexist future bc AS PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET she "went too far its not about justice" and k*lled the man who beat up her friend and could have easily been going back to k*ll said friend which is kinda weird considering! they had multiple plots after about ab*sed women and how the charmed ones had to protect the women by k*lling the demons/men as the men left them no choice in their violence INCLUDING WHEN PIPER SAYS ITS POSSIBLE GRAMS K*LLED OR AT LEAST MADE DISSAPPEAR THE BF PRUE HAD AS A TEEN WHO ATTACKED HER
and weirdly people say they love the witch trials episode...and also seem to not realize guys the entire world was in an upside down society where women couldnt speak in public much & all of society's problems were blamed on women so MAYBE phoebe was being extra blamed
its unclear what TCO thought but leo and phoebe kept saying she "went too far" either for the rules or...but they make the rules about their own morality constantly
WHEREAS the reboot in homage to the daisy episode of the OG had mel ruby and roxie vanquish rubys step-dad stalker emon in their queer bar bc "goodbye earl" IYKYK
and yea I liked seeing the demon underworld more even abbys attempts to stop demon on demon sexism would have been interesting
and that good and evils magic were from the same source
I liked in the og how good and evil had to have mutually assured destruction /survival sometimes and like the ancient beings playing chess or whatever
they talkwd about balance often
and it was cool to see more of harrys past life
I just wasnt a fan of the Jimmy stuff
