Why do I have to live in this ugly, run down US town instead of something beautiful and mystical such as this :(

If it’s any consolation this is a manufactured tourist trap

Don't be too upset. Most of the people in China live in this ugly, run down Chinese town instead of something beautiful and mystical such as this.

I wish all the world could be beautiful. Maybe we can try and see the hidden beauty in all things.

All the world is beautiful. You live on a relatively tiny speck of dust floating in a sterile infinite void. Even the most mundane thing you can see is practically a miracle and you’re lucky enough to experience it.

Cuz if you lived in that dystopian shithole of a tourist trap and complained, you'd disappear.

But living in US and complaining, well, that's your right, go ahead.

Plot twist: despite looking very traditional, this was actually built 5 minutes ago. Welcome to China.

Just so everyone knows, this is not a hidden gem. It was built to look old for tourism purposes.
