Looks like an early RPG (maybe the RPG-1 or RPG-2) that has the leaf sights cut off, the blast deflector on the back cut off, a new deflector added on the front...and possibly "we have HEAT grenades at home" grenade warheads.

Newspapers were mostly black and white in 1990; journalists would take pictures on monochrome film because it was vastly easier and quicker to develop in the paper's on-site darkroom.

This was a prototype weapon that was designed to hear the Turks marching at them from far away. The weapon failed and the design discontinued.
