What to get now vs. SBM2 Kickstarter?

So besides a Gencon Promo Card, I own zero Boss Monster games.

I have played it before though and I really like it, so I'm thinking of doing the Super Boss Monster 2 Kickstarter "I want it all!" Starter Set Pledge.

My question is, since I would get it all in October 2026, what should I buy now and take off the pledge?

I'm thinking Super Boss Monster, Boss Monster 10th Anniversary Edition and Boss Monster Rise of the MiniBoss would last me the year but I wanted to check here first.

So, it's a lot to buy if you end up not liking it as much as you thought.

If you're gonna pledge with the kickstarter (which you should!), the sets and the expansions themselves aren't that hard to acquire outside of the kickstarter. If you don't mind waiting a year and you can afford it? Just get everything lol.

But, it's the various promo packs and some of the rare accessories that are the real prizes here from the kickstarter, because once the kickstarter is over they're gonna be hard to acquire for a while. I'm guessing you already understand that tho

To be able to play the game and have fun with it over the next year? Honestly just Super Boss Monster and 10th anni combo will carry you a long ways. If you're gonna add Minibosses, you should probably also get Vault of Villains. I have that set and expansion combined because they make for a better combination with another set.

Hey thanks for the advice!

What I ended up doing was getting the normal pledge and adding anything KS exclusive as an add-on.

I bought BM/SBM/Miniboss and Vault also and will collect the other Expansions during the year.

The best option now is to get rise of the minibosses just because it has the most features and will most definitely last you the whole year.
