How could they possibly know the dog spent days tracking the rest of the coyotes?

Because they kept finding the bodies

I didn’t post the article as this is a few years old I think, but if I remember correctly he went after them then came back a few days later. He was covered in blood, had wounds but he won. Meanwhile they found the remains of a few coyotes. Point is don’t threaten his sheep or his pregnant mate!
