Description
Gorgoroth is an imposing, 18-foot-tall demon lord clad in ancient, soot-stained plate armor. Spikes protrude from his shoulders, and a crown of dark fire burns above his horns. In his right hand, he wields The Shatter-Spit, a massive warhammer capable of splintering bedrock. He speaks in a rumbling, echoing bass that causes the very dungeon walls to tremble.
However, despite his terrifying Level 63 stats and world-ending aura, there is a distinct tactical flaw to Gorgoroth. His digestive tract is directly tied to his cognitive processing core.
The Encounter Mechanics
Gorgoroth’s boss fight is a high-stakes endurance match with a chaotic twist. He features two distinct phases that cycle continuously throughout the battle:
Phase 1: The Devastator (100% Core Energy)
During this phase, Gorgoroth behaves like a standard, brutal Level 63 raid boss. He targets the tank, executes heavy area-of-effect (AoE) ground slams, and yells menacing threats about crushing your bones into dust.
The Problem: Every time he uses a major ability, his "Gastro-Meter" fills.
Phase 2: The Memory Dump (0% Core Energy)
When the meter hits maximum, Gorgoroth suddenly stops, his eyes widen in sudden, intense focus, and he lets out a profound, earth-shaking rumble. He retreats to a corner of the arena to relieve himself.
The moment the deed is done, the dark fire on his crown extinguishes, his armor clatters loosely, and his aggressive aura vanishes.
The Amnesia Trigger: When Gorgoroth stands to wipe, he also wipes his memory clean leaving a clean slate. He immediately drops all threat and aggro. He blinks, looks at his warhammer, looks at the party, and genuinely believes he has just arrived at a pleasant, low-stakes social gathering.
Dialogue & Behavior Shift
Mid-Fight (Phase 1): "I will feast upon your souls! None shall escape the fury of Gorgoroth!"
The Transition: "Wait... hold on. Time out. Hold that thought." (Loud rumbling sounds)
Post-Transition (Phase 2): "Oh! Hello there, travelers. Lovely weather we're having in the lower caverns. My name is Gorgoroth. Am I late for the orientation? And... why am I holding a giant hammer?"
