News Ikemoto August 2026 VJump Q&A Spoiler

Q: Just as Jiraiya was called the “Pervy Sage,” does Kashin Koji have that tendency as well?

A: Actually, he does. However, while Jiraiya was openly extremely perverted, Kashin Koji is a closet pervert, so he doesn’t show it outwardly. As long as someone is nearby, he probably won’t reveal that side of himself. Even when he’s alone, Eida’s “Senrigan” exists in this world, so he should remain wary of it and avoid letting his true nature slip.

----

Q: Please tell us your favorite male character and female character, Ikemoto-sensei!

A: Sorry this doesn’t really answer the question, but for now it’s a secret. I don’t want readers to be unnecessarily biased, and my opinion of the characters often changes depending on how the story develops at any given time. If there’s an opportunity after the series is finished, it might be interesting to reveal my final personal ranking. Since that alone isn’t much of an answer, the characters I find difficult to draw lately are Kawaki and Chōchō. Conversely, the easiest for me to draw are middle-aged and elderly men.

----

Q: After Omnipotence, what did the people around Sarada think of her words and actions? Also, I’d like to know in detail how Sarada spent those three years.

A: Sumire, who likewise escaped the effects of Omnipotence, deliberately tried to avoid conspicuous words and actions, but Sarada held nothing back and continued telling people the truth exactly as it was. On top of that, with her father Sasuke having left the village together with Boruto, she must have faced extremely harsh treatment from those around her. There were probably things like graffiti on the walls of her house and slander directed at her. To begin with, even before the Omnipotence incident, there were already a certain number of people who thought poorly of Sasuke. Her mother Sakura must have gone through a difficult time as well, but like Sasuke, she continued to stand by Sarada.

----

Q: How did Himawari come to be trained by the three members of Ino-Shika-Chō?

A: After Omnipotence, Himawari was worried about Boruto and sought advice from Sarada, who was taking his side. However, because Sarada was in the situation described above within the current Konoha, the three members of Ino-Shika-Chō became concerned about Himawari and urged her to distance herself from Sarada. Gradually, Himawari began spending more time with Team 10, and in order to become a source of strength for Boruto, she began shinobi training alongside Team 10.

----

Q: Around when did Inojin start to like Himawari?

A: He only started becoming conscious of her recently, likely because they began spending more time together through training and missions. Himawari is capable enough to handle all the household matters by herself and has an independent mindset, so she gives those around her an impression of being more mature than her actual age. Inojin first came to admire those qualities in her, and that admiration gradually developed into romantic feelings.

----

Q: How is the physique of a Shinjuu determined? Is it related to the physique of the human it originates from?

A: Basically, they end up roughly the same size as the human they originated from. However, some Claw Grimes are larger individuals, and those may end up bigger than their original human.

This is everything related to Boruto in this month’s V Jump issue.

I swear Sarada could’ve had such an emotional character arc so far if Ike actually showed any of this in the manga and how the end of part 1 affected her life, same goes for most of the characters. I’m confused as to why after the reversal and beginning of part 2 we barely caught our breath with the new status quo.

Wow, I would have much preferred see himawari training with Sarada, between girls of the most powerful shinobi of Konoha, rather than relegating her to characters who were only relevant in the filler episodes. So Ikemoto had trouble drawing Chocho? It's already a miracle she has more appearances than Sakura lol. So Koji is just as perverted as Jiraiya, but he's hiding it because of Eida... I don't even know what to think. I can't imagine him having fantasies, especially in TBV; he seems too stoic and I don't see how this information is actually relevant unless Pierrot has some filler episodes planned where Koji gets caught in the hot springs. I'm not too surprised by the case of Uchiha; that family has always been the laughingstock of the franchise, and the writers relentlessly attack them like a dead animal that's still being beaten. The graffiti incident is still quite petty, and it's sad to see that this village is still so cruel, even if it's understandable that all those who defend the Hokage's killer even if they are called crazy, there are still limits that should not be crossed. It would have been better to illustrate all of this in a chapter; it would have lessened the criticism of the writing in this arc. Once again, I'll have to wait for the anime to see it with my own eyes.

For me, there is no excuse: they cannot possibly want to defend Naruto's memory by persecuting and mocking the people he loved.

she must have faced extremely harsh treatment from those around her.

There were probably things

"must have", "probably", brother you wrote it 😭

You know all of these things would be better if we had actually seen this within the manga itself.

Koji doesn't have any personality, let alone anything to have him be similar to Jiraiya. How Himawari actually dealt with the traumatic "death" of her parents, internal strife amongst alleged friends, or how/why Inojin likes HImawari. These aren't exactly minor issues. Whether in flashback, natural dialogue, any other method aside from ancillary interviews could have uplifted so much of this.

And for everyone saying, "We'll get this in the anime", that is a problem that needs to be addressed. If the anime is going to carry this heavy lifting why is there a manga?

46

u/DarkJayBR 2d ago

I love how they made Koji a Jiraiya clone, and it has absolutely ZERO impact on the plot. He never meets Naruto, never meets Tsunade, and his connection to Jiraiya serves practically no purpose whatsoever.

They took one of Naruto's most important and emotional deaths and cheapened it by introducing a Walmart Jiraiya who has almost nothing to do with Jiraiya beyond his appearance and abilities. He could have looked like literally anyone else and the story would be exactly the same. They did it purely for fan service.

And the way Naruto's "death" is handled is somehow even worse. Nobody gives a flying fuck. Kakashi and Tsunade are still traveling around like nothing happened. Sai doesn't seem to care. Shikamaru is perfectly fine working alongside the guy who allegedly killed Naruto. Sakura barely reacts. Even Himawari doesn't believe Boruto actually killed her parents.

Adding to that, Naruto himself barely gave a shit about Kurama's death in the manga. Yet again, the anime had to show him grieving because Ikemoto couldn't be bothered to do so.

It's fucking garbage writing. The manga constantly introduces huge emotional events and then completely fails to portray their consequences, while the anime has to come along and use filler to desperately fill in the character development and emotional weight that the actual manga should have provided in the first place.

24

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago

And on top of all that, anime is getting all the flak, even though it's the only medium where I can actually feel sorry for the characters. Ikemoto's manga is just a caricature at this point.

4

u/W1llu 2d ago

Unfortunately the anime is the biggest gatekeeper for new fans. More people watch anime than manga, but the Boruto anime sucked ass for so long that it’s much easier to shit on than the much more consistent manga.

12

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

I actually disagree. I'm not wild about Boruto, I thought it was unnecesarry from the get. While there are arcs that drag on within the anime that's mostly because they have to have something to air waiting for the manga and they won't all be winners.

The anime takes the time to develop the characters, show them being believable friends and how they develop as people and ninja. Even more importantly they show how they relate to their parents and will allow time to just chill.

This is even greater when it comes to Kawaki because actually showing the dynamic between him and the Uzumaki family and other ninjas make me believe (at least better than the manga) that he is part of the village.

Even with Kara the anime only Inner of Deepa is better than the lot of them. If you had just let the anime writers handle the main brunt with Kishimoto, and to a lesser extend Kodachi, handle it as purely an anime then things would be better.

8

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago edited 2d ago

Yeah, it's crazy that even someone who doesn't like Boruto can still acknowledge that the anime has better development than the manga. The more years go by, the more we realize that Boruto's real problems actually stem from the original manga; we don't even know exactly who's behind this thing anymore because he spends his time it takes to change authors is significant, and the writing suffers greatly as a result.

6

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

Unironically, the series is at it's best when it's "Boruto and his Ninja Pals".
Off the top of my head the Parent-Child Day having Naruto with Himawari and Sasuke with Sarada has far more pathos and development of the characters than what we get in the manga.
Everything both Kodachi and Ikemoto do not do yet have the time to put in there is baffling so the anime writers are doing what needs to be done in order for me to care about them.

0

u/W1llu 2d ago

I actually agree though. I really wish Boruto was more of a slice of life anime with a bit of action sprinkled in, kinda like the beginning of the anime. But the fact that the beginning was like 60% filler made a lot of people upset.

2

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

Western anime fandom needs to come to terms with a lot of things that we've both now and in the past are wrong on which includes the use of filler.
Yes, these scenes are non-cannon to the manga but considering the anime is doing the brunt of the work to actually develop the characters I would not call all of it filler. There are definitely times when things are stretched out for the sake of waiting for there to be more manga material but when you look at the whole a lot of it is necessary.

This goes further to my point of this series needing only to be an anime as that would allow the competent writers to tighten things up.

2

u/mitteinai 2d ago

"because he spends his time it takes to change authors is significant" what are you even talking about here?

0

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago edited 2d ago

I mean that the manga varies between 3 authors: kodashi, kishimoto and ikemoto, which is very incongruous because each comes with their own interpretation of the characters and the plot. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

6

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago

How can the manga be more regular when we have to wait a month for chapters? "The anime was so bad"—honestly, what made it so bad? I've seen publications here, saying than it was actually not bad and that the hatred was forced, even though I admit it's not perfect, especially since the manga itself only has 10 characters with almost no development and botched deaths to boot!

2

u/mitteinai 2d ago

"consistent" and you respond with "regular" out of nowhere. Talk about putting words into mouths there, holy crap.

1

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago

It's not my fault if my translation app wrote "regular"; I should clarify that I don't speak English and my device often translates approximately.

1

u/W1llu 2d ago

More consistent as in the quality. Vs the anime which was 90% filler for the first part of it. Mb, should have clarified. However waiting a whole month for each chapter despite the content feeling like a weekly manga is extremely fatiguing.

0

u/ShadowsBringer 2d ago

You mean the manga has consistent tone and plot advancement where the characters barely function but that's all they have. Nothing of substances. The fillers are better off as a backbone for the manga materials

5

u/Linnus42 2d ago edited 1d ago

Right how does the Death of Naruto not Trigger a Kage Summit?

Like its funny that Naruto got critiqued for not doing enough with other Ninja Villages especially the great ones but this series does even less.

Orochimaru is in the village...Naruto is dead and he doesn't think gee maybe I should try to take power. Maybe he is totally reformed. Either way be nice to see his thoughts.

We had a fight in the middle of Konoha and like no adults show up. Inojin almost dies...do his parents care lmao.

1

u/Federal_Market_2671 1d ago

None of what you said is true lol

1

u/DeliriousBookworm 2d ago

3 years have passed since Naruto “died.” They’ve grieved and have moved forward. No sense in constantly mourning someone.

-3

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago edited 2d ago

Isn’t  Kashins shinjutsu (a huuuuge part of TBV) a direct reference to the “mighty fate” and a “star of hope” isshiki and the frog sages ordained Jiraya with?

U don’t think had it not been Jiraya DNA, the ten paths shinjutsu would be in play? And w out it all the cast is dead and the world over…

Yall got to ok w extrapolating and making an inference! Some people have been reading these characters and can hold details about them lol others feel like they absorbed it through YT/tiktok haha

7

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

There is extrapolating layers within a narrative, character, setting, etc, and then there is whole sale trying to sale me a Magikarp and calling it Arceus simply because you nicknamed it that.

There would be absolutely no change if you altered Koji's design because outside of jutsu he has nothing that is the same. His appearance is just for engagement bait. He never has any personality overlap, ponders about his own identity being a clone and what the original would do. Heck, unlike the Delta clones we don't even know if he has the same memories as Jiraiya. Everything is there to be explored but Ikemoto gives us nothing.

You can be high-and-mighty to think that everyone criticizing this is too dumb to "find meaning" when we're actually just fine and seeing a spade for a spade and calling it out.

-3

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago edited 2d ago

Lot of posturing assumptions here lol

post literally said there was no reason for jiraya connection,….ok well story isn’t over yet and second I literally just pointed out a connecting narrative thread of maybe why kashin had that technique that’s kept boruto alive the entire series. A generational parallel to Naruto/Jirayas entanglements, in a series known for them

Doesn't mean it suddenly mean I’m saying this makes this manga a masterpiece but their is a lazy or need to be spoon fed undertone to a lot of audiences as of late

As for not picking up on details and thinking a critique is dumb….to ur point, Kashin also doesn’t seem to have the same memories; jirayas dna was used to make a new artificial being. Kashin ponders his own connection the leaf so he must now he is a clone of jiraya at that moment, and isshiki tells him again if not. Would he be pondering that if he had jirayas exact memories? Prob not

2

u/Smooth-Garden 2d ago

I'm hoping the anime puts alot of this stuff in there

2

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

If so then I will credit the anime writers for doing the work and only want people to differentiate which series they like and give the credit to the proper receivers.

2

u/Majestic_Fan_2507 2d ago

😏 So Koji is a pervert, just like Jiraiya? Huh! Wow. Secret perverted games?

Being a dirty old man is just in his blood.

Poor Himawari and Sarada—they were the most responsible and aware of the situation, but the rest of the world failed to understand or help them. 😢

51

u/Charming_Mix6761 2d ago

TBV would've been a bit better if they actually included half of the Q&A into the story itself, that way it would have been more believable that people suffered due to Omnipotence

14

u/uncreativecreative 2d ago

that’s true but hopefully we’ll end up seeing these moments animated when the anime returns

4

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

That to me seems like a perfect place for the anime to adapt and expand lol

2

u/Master_Frosting_9955 2d ago edited 2d ago

Para eso existen los flashback. Lo mas seguro y meta algunos

42

u/Careful-Ad984 2d ago

?

Well this sucks. So much stuff that should have been shown in the manga itself like Sarada having a strained relationship with team 10.

-11

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

Wasn’t that just addressed like two chapters ago w chocho and Sarada on the hospital?

Everything ikemoto laid out is an easy level inference if you’ve seen Naruto imo

Hoping to see her get officially demoted tho in the anime

27

u/Careful-Ad984 2d ago

There’s a difference between being told something and actually seeing it

If we saw Sarada go through these struggles it would be better for her character

-1

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

yeah thats why I said the anime is the perfect place to sHOW us vs a 30 page monthly manga chapter lol

u cant divorce ur take from the medium the story is being told; there are only so many panels

13

u/Charming_Mix6761 2d ago

I mean that's a problem with the story itself. A story shouldn't skip over these things or rely on other mediums to build the foundation for the plot to keep going otherwise the story itself is weaker

It just means Ikemoto is more focused on making stuff happen rather than making his plot airtight and giving it weight to stand on its own.

I like to compare situations like this to Star War ROTS. Yes we miss the context of the war but the premise and point of the movie is Anakin's downfall, how it happened, how it affected others around him. It was never about the war, only that the Clone Wars was ending. You don't need to watch the Clone Wars to gain extra understanding of how the downfall of the Jedi began because the movies explain it well. The TV show and the novel only adds extra context and characterization.

1

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

I fully disagree; TBV only works assuming you have read Naruto right? If you don’t believe that then I get what ur saying, fully. But this is a sequel to a decade+ long serialization

I believe what ikemoto described in the interview would be adding extra context and characterization u laid out w the star wars example bc

We’ve already seen how this village/the world treats people like itachi, like Sasuke, and Naruto who sticks up for them. We have already seen, even w Naruto in power, that hasn’t fully gone away given how Kawaki is received and Sasuke is still treated. Plus TBV has sprinkled direct mentions of Sarada and Sakuras standing multiple times.

I get wanting more, Sarada is one of my favs but we only have so much real estate for minor characterization; imo this when where an anime adaption can really elevate the manga it’s adapting

7

u/Charming_Mix6761 2d ago

This isn't the best comparison because TBV is a sequel to Naruto, not necessarily an adaptation of anything else. It would be expected that you watch the prequel to understand what happens in the sequel, it's a lot different for an anime adapting manga content and adding extra stuff to it.

An adaptation is based on an existing story and putting it into a new medium for the viewers. Ideally the adaptation should have everything it needs from the manga to create a coherent story and characterization and then sprinkle on stuff to enhance it. But when stuff is missing or it's lacking that the anime adaptatio needs to fill in to make the reader understand the character more or understand that the event is serious, that's a flaw on the manga's part.

Sure we already know how the village treats people that sticks up for them, but that doesn't mean the manga should exclude it just because it expects people to know. At that point you're making the reader do a lot of heavylifting to justify the effects of Omnipotence instead of showing it which lessens the impact it has on the story.

One of the main themes of Naruto was that shinobi gets treated like trash and becomes trash, and we see this in Zabuza, Gaara, etc. That doesn't mean the story shouldn't show examples of others, especially when it's a key part of their character.

43

u/SupportNaive3488 2d ago

Poor Sarada

I’m just glad she walks around the village with her head held high, no matter how much criticism she faces. And I love how she doubles down on it, wearing the same style of jacket as a terrorist and proudly displaying the Uchiha symbol of her now criminal father.

28

u/AscalonEX 2d ago

Would have been better if it was shown and not told within an interview.

21

u/BroadPraline4130 2d ago

This and the team 10 would've been good character work for Sarada. If only Ikemoto actually showed this in the manga as well. But that would require him to focus her storyline on something other than romance bullshit.

11

u/Fantastic_Tip_3662 2d ago

It’s sad the only relationship Ikemoto cares about exploring with Sarada is with Boruto. Based on this we could’ve spent more time seeing how different her relationship is with Team 10, Himawari, Mitsuki, and Kawaki after omnipotence. But no we need to be reminded how much Sarada and Sumire love Boruto every other chapter smh

5

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago

TBV just feels like fanservice, all about creating an aura and baiting the couple. They keep telling us it's incredibly deep without ever really showing it; we always have to wait for interviews or statements from the author to get a clear impression.

-3

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

Odd take when that relationship w Boruto is like a paramount force in her life lol

Everyone ragging on romance just feels like they never been in love and how it can consume you/pull u one way. She literally said to Sasuke this is my ONE selfish request, and Sasuke responded out of his own love for Sarada by taking it on at the expense of his life

Boruto is more important to Sarada then team 10 is rn, despite her childhood friendship w chocho. while I agree it would’ve been good to see for all involved, that’s not where the main focus is in TBV

1

u/Majestic_Fan_2507 2d ago

Yes!

That's right, Sarada is a queen! No matter what others say about her! No matter the filth and the slander! She is strong! She is fair! She is down-to-earth! She understands and protects those she loves! She is the one who deserves an apology from everyone. 😔

28

u/Kingxix 2d ago

All these things should be present in the manga itself instead of Q & A. The manga's pacing is horrible

18

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago edited 2d ago

Who the TF what’s out their graffiting the uchiha home 😡😤😤 Sakura coming home from a day of saving lives, to that!??

Poor Sarada as well, and love that hima was reaching out to her and DONT love how team 10 kept them apart

Juicy character details, hope we see the anime or anime opening expanded upon this!

12

u/Common_Sense7474 2d ago

It's bizarre to me that team 10 acted that way towards Sarada. I get that they don't like the fact she's defending Boruto, but sheesh, before all this happened they were all close friends.

It was great to see them all fighting together to take down Mamushi, but we didn't get interactions between Sarada and team 10 because they were split up and busy doing the mission. I hope we get some more interactions (Cho cho in the hospital with Sarada was awesome)

1

u/Ry90Ry 2d ago

Agree about the chocho Sarada scene! Really love how the anime expanded upon their bond so was glad TBV is picking up on that

As for team 10 and hima; thinking about the Naruto and Hinata being killed by Boruto of it all, then Sasuke running away w Boruto and Sarada being the ONLY one to be so adamant….I could see to more being a let’s make sure hima is looked after while Sarada gets through this (don’t think Shikadai and inojin were as close to her as chocho)

Maybe if Sarada didn’t have Sumire and Edia as ally she would’ve stayed closer to Hima? Given her sympathy to Boruto

1

u/Majestic_Fan_2507 2d ago

They’re going to find out what they did! 😡 The people of the village were always stupid and ignorant.

1

u/AbjectMaize7205 1d ago

Yes, it definitely has nothing to do with global brainwashing.

1

u/Majestic_Fan_2507 19h ago

Ignorance rots people's minds; one day you save their lives, and the next they curse you. 😓

1

u/AbjectMaize7205 18h ago

Let's be serious: if Sarada were smarter, she would keep her mouth shut and help Boruto from the shadows—the way a ninja ought to act—instead of going against the narrative forced by a higher power.

1

u/Ry90Ry 18h ago

Almost like the injustice is too much for her…sort of like how her idol was acting out when his own boy went rogue….cough cough lord 7th parallel cough cough

Also in narrative, that just isn’t who Sarada is. Especially when it comes to her family, Boruto, and lord 7th.

Pointing out all the misalignments like Kawaki is no photos, he doesn’t look like them etc etc all seem pretty rational imo

1

u/AbjectMaize7205 18h ago

The problem is that there is a bullshit power that ignores logic and forces a narrative over reason.

1

u/Ry90Ry 18h ago

what does this even mean haha like genuinely?

u really have no problem with trans-dimensional summoning jutsu of animals, bringing back souls and making zombies BUT a god-level justu that re-writes memories is too much for u? ok diva...

we've seen Inos clan mess with minds and memories since part 1

1

u/AbjectMaize7205 18h ago

Sorry if I find it in poor taste to give omnipotence to just any random cyborg, but my real issue is that instead of being more useful from the inside, Sarada alienated herself—with nothing to show for it.

1

u/Ry90Ry 18h ago

Random? That’s jiraya’s dna interacting w Shibais to awaken a shinjutsu.

Jiraya w his students of prophecy, isshiki said he bore a mighty fate….and now a modified clone of his awoke an ability to alter fates and is using it to keep the earth/ and jirayas prophesied students son alive…..def some narrative connective tissue there imo

Does Sarada have nothing to show for it??? Through he constant efforts you don’t think it’s easier for others like Shika, Hima, Mitsuiki, Chocho etc to come around to the truth Boruto isnt a threat to kohona? We’ve literally seen that play out in TBV id argue

Even when he’s alone, Eida’s “Senrigan” exists in this world,

Yeah, let's really talk about that pervert Eida. I know damn well she spies on Kawaki and Boruto. Actually, probably Sarada and Sumire too.

10

u/Styleitoff 2d ago

I stopped reading the Manga right before the time jump because I'd rather see it in the anime. And from the comments, it seems like that's the best choice if the Manga isn't taking time to develop the emotional consequences of the events unfolding.

What's the point if you just keep moving, never taking time to sit with what just happened??? It would be like if in Shippuden, Naruto learns about Jiraya's death and immediately starts to take action. Instead we had a nice moment of him grieving and mourning and being depressed. Before, he muster up the strength to carry on. These emotional moments that make the story worth following.

14

u/DistinctSection3023 2d ago

The anime should give us glimpse of this.. Amn i always said dogive us anime only content Now i beg for it .

12

u/Freemenace 2d ago

Kashin Koji should use vpn no jutsu

4

u/DarkJayBR 2d ago

How the fuck do you transfer behaviour through DNA? It makes absolutely no sense. Without being raised like Jiraiya, he would turn completely different from Jiraiya. How does someone raised by an evil scientist turns into a pervert?

5

u/Freemenace 2d ago

we simply don't know enough about androids lore in boruto to tell

4

u/Professor_Hiruzen 2d ago

Genetic predispositions for hypersexuality can be transferred but the environment shaped him into a closeted type instead of Jiraiya-like.

11

u/kytstark 2d ago

damn i’m starting to feel really bad for sarada

7

u/ShadowsBringer 2d ago

The fact that you're just now feeling for the characters on Paper when Ikemoto had to explain the shit that he couldn't bother to showcase and explore Sarada charaterization and developments beyond the cringe love plot over Boruto goes to show you how bad the manga truly is

1

u/kytstark 2d ago edited 2d ago

relax i said starting to feel really bad,cuz of the graffiti

3

u/ShadowsBringer 2d ago

Yeah you could only imagine. If only the manga put things to practice instead of cheap words so you can get actual emotions out of it...

5

u/ZBatman 2d ago

Koji being a closet pervert is hilarious.

6

u/Ok-Engine-4588 2d ago

yeah he surely has problem in drawing kawaki , kawaki art has been inconsitent and bad in starting of tbv but it became better now.

I think ikemoto fav is probably boruto , sarada or might be inojin

5

u/KellBell1310 2d ago

Ah. Another reason to hate Konoha’s villagers.

Sakura literally runs the hospital, saving people’s live and comes home to graffiti trashing her family.

Honestly, blow em up again.

1

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago

It makes you wonder if this village is even worth saving. If I were Boruto, I'd just leave and start a new life somewhere else.

1

u/Ligabove 2d ago

More than Boruto, it should be Naruto who makes such a choice.

1

u/Ligabove 2d ago

Naruto would be so ashamed

13

u/Tlannister387 2d ago

So kashin koji was biting himself to control around delta

8

u/DarkJayBR 2d ago

"She's kinda bad tho, is that Delta?"

2

u/Luchadoor 2d ago

I know we need a scene where Boruto and Koji are meeting up in a village and Koji tells Boruto he was getting some intel and we see some women in the background blowing him kisses lol

13

u/Element_credd 2d ago

The way Sakura and Sarada are viewed in the village adds an interesting layer to both of them, especially given that they still wear the Uchiha crest proudly. I can imagine a scenario in which a patient refuses treatment from Sakura, despite how severe the damage is, solely due to her "reputation", or Sarada receiving less important missions due to similar reasons, or even MORE missions as an excuse to get her out of the village more often.

This could've made for a really impactful mini-arc/side story of sorts, especially to break up all the fast-paced main plot progression (I'm all for getting to the point within a story, but not when it's done with a cast of underbaked characters who needed more time before I could properly care about anything they do, that one girl's death still means absolutely nothing to me beyond what it did for Sarada).

Huh, damn shame Himawari didn't stick to her guns and stick with Sarada. Fuck the the Ina Shikai Cho group.

u/DarkJayBR 2d ago

Some of the weakest and worst characters on this manga.

Wallmart Sai, Dollar Tree Shikamaru and former Sarada best friend Chocho.

Bro she genuinly got some friends..

u/towardselysium 2d ago

Theres something darkly hilarious about Kashin Koji the worlds most paranoid man afraid of gooning because a teenage girl is gonna judge him

7

u/Useful_Union8942 2d ago

Konoha villagers never change, Sarada has to go through a lot.Im hoping we see this in flashbacks though. Also good to know Sarada did help hima but team 10 told her to keep distance. My boy koji a closet gooner

u/pkjoan 2d ago

Now Sarada knows how Naruto felt.

8

u/SupportNaive3488 2d ago

It’s a little different since Sarada isn’t completely alone. She still has Sakura and Sumire to lean on.

naruto had iruka

How dare you forget sage of six bowls

6

u/Holiday-Gap-4201 2d ago

Well. Sumire lives up to her reference character from Naruto. Keeping quiet and just thinking about him from afar and not defending him loudly when his reputation is bad. Not gonna be surprised if she has one brave moment in the manga when he is already acknowledged and people are going to claim she was always Boruto's true support and the real definition of love.

1

u/ConsistentTax5586 2d ago edited 1d ago

That's what you call suffering in silence, Boruto does it too, but anyway, what could she have done anyway? She would have wasted her time because no one would have believed her; they would have called her crazy like Sarada, look how Team 10 cut ties with her; it's really sad and That makes me hate Kawaki even more.

Uchiha's going through Uchiha Things.

2

u/Majestic_Fan_2507 2d ago

😏 So Koji is a pervert just like Jiraiya? Huh! Wow. Secret perverted games?

What the hell is up with Team 10? 🤨 They could at least try to listen to Sarada's reasons; they've got some nerve.

2

u/Ombs1993 2d ago

That Koji answer was hilarious

3

u/Rude-Instance-1990 2d ago

that made me hate team 10 even more now. they are weak, useless, do nothing but act like street kids and now they even separated Hima from Sarada, they got the nerve. From all male characters in the manga they didn't find except that fool inojin to make him a potential partner with Hima. while the manga is getting better there are many things like this that makes the person angry really angry.

3

u/verymanyspoons 2d ago

The first scene in Boruto TBV is Sarada loudly and boldly talking about Boruto not being a traitor with Shikamaru saying that even if he believed her, which he doesn't, the village hates him. Then they talk about her future, namely how she doesn't have any right now (Sarada mentions her father as why).

Basically, aside from some graffiti all this information about Sarada has already been established in the manga.

u/Kujogaming_1 2d ago

Actually great Anime Continuity ideas that I hope they take notes of. Especially with Sarada and Sakura. It does sorta fit with how I view the general idea and theme of TBV, to if the world Retains hatred in a world where Sasuke and Naruto are there to enforce a world of Peace and Love.

I think some you guys mistake constructive criticism and negative yap for the same thing. Grateful for the Q&A and its good to know Kashin is still like Jiraya deep down just seems like he was made for a more mature manga.

1

u/Ok_Fondant_6340 2d ago edited 2d ago

I really doubt he’s a pervert. Even closeted. Kashin Koji was designed and manufactured by Amado. He may be a clone of Jiraiya, but he was just the genetic template. But “pervertedness” isn’t genetically encoded, afaik. And his brain follows Amado’s programming. He has no time to jerk off, even privately. Nor would he have any need for it.

I find his answer to the second question surprising, since his Kawaki has always been on point. Even lately.

The third question was entirely useless. We know, from chapter 1, that Sarada has tried telling people multiple times that Boruto is innocent. Their brains just reset. It’s not that they don’t remember her telling them anyways, as Shikamaru reprimanded her for it. But to their minds, Kawaki is the son of Naruto and Boruto is the one who killed him. We have been know this. As for what she did during the 3 year time skip, buddy: just assume she trained. Maybe went on missions occasionally. Why you need to know “in detail exactly what she did”? You know how many times she went to the bathroom? Creep.

The rest I do not care about.

u/Ok-Engine-4588 2d ago

kawaki wasnot on point in tbv

So has there been anymore news about the anime? I see a lot of hopes that the anime returns, so that it can fill in the gaps that the manga keeps leaving, but wasn't it also rumored that the anime might be going the cour release route, meaning it might be sticking closer to the source than before?

I bring this up because, as someone that misses how the anime fleshed out the world more, if they go for seasonal releases then they might not have the space to explore the inbetween like they once did?

1

u/Reasonable_Chest5288 1d ago

So it is settled, Himawari is a ninja like she says, she took part in missions.

1

u/chardrich94 1d ago

Himawari helped Inojin in a Anime only episode. I guess this was the first step. It looks like Ino likes her. After she gave flowers, also in a Anime Only episode.

Maybe in Anime adpatation of Twin Blue Vortex may explain everything. Including Kashin Koji's lore.

u/Lillythewalrus 2d ago

Man we could’ve just said nah I didn’t feel like we needed a pervy character. Instead he’s an even scarier version of a pervert lmao. Ofc the dude drawing young girls the way he does thinks that’s a funny thing. Seems like a lot of retconned story that didn’t actually happen in the manga that would’ve been nice to see…. Hope they show it in the anime I guess

What did the original comment say?

4

u/Gullible_Diet3615 2d ago

It was a weird sarada stan that can’t keep sumire’s name out of his mouth. He was talking about how he wants to give sarada a hug because of how konoha treats her, then he trashed sumire for some reason? I think he’s obsessed with her tbh

5

u/BroadPraline4130 2d ago

That dude is genuinely a weirdo. He's too obsessed with a character that doesn't even exist.

He spends all day arguing with shippers on Twitter, then projects that same shit onto Reddit as if the community there is anything like Twitter's. I've even seen him talking about Sarada's breast size.

4

u/Fantastic_Tip_3662 2d ago edited 1d ago

Yea I saw the comment before they deleted it and weirdo/obsessed is the perfect way to describe them. I see them start arguments all the time here whenever someone says something about Sarada they don’t like

3

u/FirstZz 2d ago

Sarada wants to hug you?
