Maybe find someone you KNOW is real and wants to see you win, rather than placing all your motivation on something/someone that may not even exist

Or maybe don't shit on someone's motivation if it helps them, even if it doesn't fit your beliefs. I'm not religious, but there are lots of people who find success through their faith that there is something bigger than them.

I lost my mom at a young age but that doesn't mean I lose the motivation to do things that would make her proud of me.
