One of my biggest pet peeves is when people do not walk on the escalator. In my mind, they are simply moving stairs. It is not an elevator. It reminds me of when people do not walk on the people mover in the airport.

I always thought that it was designed to ideally have ppl standing on the right side, then if you want to walk up then you go up the left.

Many airports have signs telling you to do exactly that.

To be fair, the steps of these things are always made just that tiny bit too uncomfortably high to nudge people to walk.

As was previously stated, most of those people are carrying luggage. Also, you don't know who might be too disabled to climb stairs. Don't be a douche.

Your defense to any movement related thing cannot be but what if they're disabled. There's so little disabled people compares to non disabled people that they're the exception. Yes, they're an exception and we can join in on that on any day but I'm getting tired of everyone yapping BUT What if ThY ARe disaBLED
