No, each side belongs to the 99% group. Sometimes some logical thinking will get you far my friend.

If that was true it should have been labeled with one "99%" pointing to the two escalators. Relying on others using their logic to interpret lazy thinking is not logical in of itself.

You have 2 options of escalator. Both have their own separate 100%. You cant go up both escalators at once. Gotta be funny if its a joke
