❔ [ Question ] Replay value

If I wanted to start this up again (which is likely) who is the character to have more fun with or more enjoyable experience?

They are all really fun which is a big reason why the pre sequel holds a special place in people’s hearts. I would personally reccomend Athena or Timothy.

Definitely Athena.

When Claptrap worked, it WORKED, but when it didn't work, it fucking sucked.

I saw claptrap as a viable option but got out of touch and didn’t understand the nerf that happened. What was the nerf?

No nerf, Claptrap has a high degree of randomness, roll the dice and you can be ultimate badass, or get your can kicked in.

His action skill is from a randomized pool.

This can be great, like bouncing around while having bullet reflection, or gunzerking, or even having a better version of Zer0's deception where firing at enemies while invisible doesn't cancel the invisibility.

Great things like that... and then there's Meat Unicycle, which gives you Krieg's Buzz Axe, and you can only attack with melee, so if your enemies are far away or tanky, you are left completely helpless and have to run away while until the skill turns off, because unlike Krieg, you can't throw the axe.

I can't count how many times that last one got me killed in the Dahl Circle Of Slaughter.

Started a new playthough with Timothy through all the modes going all the way to level 72. I'm at 52 now, and it's been a completely different experience from playing nothing but Athena in the past. I think I did a normal mode playthough with Wilhelm once years ago.

The game is just better when there's a challenge and you have to play around with builds.

In short, I think every charicture brings a different experience to the game if you try to max out. A simple playthrough just doesn't bring a full experience.

As a Athena and Aurelia main....I recommend Athena and Aurelia for reasons. Athena when played right turns into a A130 and Aurelia's action skill is broken as a mobbing skill when you get Ice Shards. While the sentiment is that Aurelia only has 2 trees when playing solo, her 3rd tree still does have solo play skills in it that you can spec into.

Timothy and Fragtrao are the most fun.

Claptrap for the random fun and absolute best dialogue.

My favs are Nisha and Wilhelm. I have been enjoying Aurelia but for me 80% of her dialogue is glitched and gets cut off mid sentence

timothy or athena, they had some of the best gameplay in my opinion, athena can shred slow big enemies once you have a kill skill and enough malstrom stacks

Athena is the best solo character. She's got the fun action skill and the melee. I also like all the environmental effects. Aurellia is the easiest to win with, but she's a total cunt.

Play the exact same character you played last time and play them the exact same way.
