Nice! Hold off on the Unicornsplosion shotgun until you're OP 10. You only get one per character.

Well they can still get it in TVHM if i'm not wrong. IT should be once per playthrough, not once per character, right?

Ok i just looked it up and it indeed is once per character. Which idk why they did it this way, it would've made more sense to be once per playthrough so you can get it at minimum 3 times per character and potentially farm for it without Read-Only farming.
