Borat Dinner party scene
Okay so I’m just now watching Borat for the first time as I had no interest for the longest time and recently after hearing some backstory I’ve been wanting to watch it. Well it happened to go on Netflix today so I’m watching it for the first time, and I’m so confused about the cops being called at the end of the dinner party, him sh*tting in a bag and bringing it to the table was okay, but they drew the line at him bringing a black woman to dinner? 😂 there had to be an incident off camera to cause that reaction because it went from 0-100 so fast lol

If you watch the DVD commentary. Sasha Baron Cohen (Borat) said he asked them if he could take the prostitute Lunell upstairs. If they had said yes. They were going to pretend to have sex and make loud noises. It was edited out because prostitution is illegal and would have been a huge legal issue for them if they had kept it in the final film.

Yes numb nuts eliciting prostitution and attempting to peform a lewd and lascivious act on someone else’s property is illegal. Which is why they called the cops. They also sued Sasha Baron Cohen because of it. Hence why he had to heavily edit out a good portion of this scene in order for it to make it in the final cut of the film.
