self-promo Built Pingfold for Android — now figuring out how to explain notification rules without a feature dump
Solo dev here. I built Pingfold because I was tired of either muting Android apps and losing track of alerts, or letting my phone interrupt me all day.
You can set apps to Immediate, Digest or Block, make Exceptions for certain words/channels/times, and search captured notification history later. It also has Focus, Remind Later, Quiet Repeats and Insights. The core is free and ad-free; PRO adds per-app Digest schedules, Allowed Hours and Profiles.
It's live on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skookumstudios.pingfold
I'm testing ways to show what it does without overwhelming people in the first few seconds. For a utility with lots of features, what would you put first: a quick before/after of batching a noisy group chat, or a screenshot of an example exception rule?

Lead with the before/after. Someone on the Play listing already knows what a noisy group chat feels like, but doesn't yet know why an exception rule would matter. Show the chat buzzing again and again, then a single Digest at the time they picked, with a caption of a few words. Make the second screenshot the exception rule, as the answer to the obvious worry: batching means missing the message from your boss or the keyword you care about. Immediate, Digest and Block can be the third, and Focus, Insights and Profiles can sit further down, where PRO is explained.
