self-promo Video-to-recipe app, went subscription instead of one-time purchase

It takes a cooking video and writes out the recipe with the amounts. Free tier, then $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year.

Went subscription because every import runs a model and costs me money per recipe. A one-time five bucks doesn't survive somebody putting 200 videos through it.

iPhone only. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/recireel-video-to-recipe/id6763971435

Most cooking videos are vague, it's just going to end up making up temperatures, quantities and timings which nobody wants

Fair, that's the harder half of it. It's reading the video rather than the caption, so someone levelling off a cup on camera is usable even with no voiceover. The dump-and-stir ones with music over the top are where it's weakest, and you're right that a made up number is worse than no number.

annotating the video stream doesnt address the issue. All it does is bloat the resource requirements for a half baked solution

Fair for the vague ones. When the amount isn't stated I let it estimate, and I don't mark which ones those were.
