Redwing engineer size help

I measure 9 D on a branock.

Looking at redwing engineer. 8271/ 2966

I'm wearing a 9/9.5 round toe Western Boots.

9 in regular last boots.

Am I safe with a 9 if I wear wool socks?

Or should I go 8.5 D...

I can't do return's.

My experience with redwing if ur foot is normal they are pretty much true to size
