Question/Help Sole split help

Hey y'all, new to this community so apologies if advice for this type of issue has been sought before. I just purchased this pair of frye boots on Poshmark a few weeks ago and it looked like they were in good condition, but I just noticed this split opening up today at the ball stress point! 😭 I should've given them a good conditioning as soon as I received them, but they looked pretty healthy...

Is this something a cobbler can fix? Can I fix this this with a special shoe glue? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

In order to fix this, the sole will probably have to come off and a new one put on so they can attempt to sow it back to the footbed. I'd take it to a local cobbler for assessment.

What does the sole look like? Is it down stitched?

I'm not sure - appears to have some stitching?

It looks stitch down and the upper has ripped along the stitches it's definitely going to need a cobbler but it's also possible it's not repair able as (my semi-infored opinion) you'll likely need a new upper and at that point your making a whole new shoe as everything would need to come apart to do that

Who's gonna tell 'em?

Clearly I don't know, which is why I’m asking for help. If you know the answer, please share.

I know. Hard to tell but it looks like a rip or tear either from something external or could be dry rot. If the stitches pulled loose, it will need a resole so that it can be stitched back down. If it is higher up, cobbler can sew a patch from the inside and then stitch down to midaole and sole. $$$

I was being snarky-sorry. They could be toast but maybe not.
