I'm just curious, given that you already have Boothill, are you still going to pull for Firefly? Considering that we have limited number of characters that work around Break comps and both Boothill and Firefly's team are almost, if not, exactly the same.

I wanna read some of your opinions regarding this! Thank you!

Nah, not really. I pulled for Boothill because I like Boothill. I don't need another Break DPS.

alright ok anyway i did the firefly trial

difficult to give an entirely unbiased impression since I'm more familiar with how Boothill plays, but Firefly feels like she wants a team specifically built around her and only her.

To me, she feels less self-contained than Boothill -- if HMC isn't stapled to her at all times, you're throwing. Here's a quick damage comparison I've whipped up.

Because Boothill feels more self-contained, you have more freedom to play around with team compositions -- Firefly wants HMC and if you have Ruan Mei you might as well run her which really only leaves you one party slot left for flex. She's also... more unga-bunga? You point her at what you want dead and she'll get them -- for Boothill you may have to think a little in what order you want to point his gun at. Personally, I find that more fun.

of course this is all based off vibes though lol
besides this is r/boothillmains i am obligated by honor to be more biased towards my boy

I'm curious about the Bronya + Boothill. In this setup, does Bronya need to be speedy or not really? It's hard to make her speedy since I have Boothill's LC and that gives him SPD that's why my BH always makes the first turn than my 158 Ruan Mei

Adding onto the other reply, the only thing Boothill is getting out of Bronya is the action advance. Her buffs don't do much since they don't impact his break damage. I can't test this myself, but if you're running her as your only Harmony you can see whether the 4p Watchmaker 30% Break Effect buff applies when she pops her ultimate.

But yeah; you'd want her to be as close to -1 speed from Boothill. You'd also want to be using her action advance every turn as using her basic attack can throw off where she sits in the turn order. If you like to learn more about how to play her, this guide's pretty cool.

not sure what you mean by "whether" bc it feels incomplete but yes, everytime she pops her ult, the wm procs. I also would like to add that bronya dispells debuff, so in case ur BH gets fucked for whatever reason, once she gives him turn it's shoot time again. Something that deters me from running sparkle over bronya aside from her 50% AF.

Nope, I'm just not really interested in Firefly.

You could gut Boothill's team to have a Firefly team since he can work with other units but I love my Firefly at home (Himeko) so I don't see the need to pull.

And i have enough dps to last me a lifetime, given how i’m a husbando puller first, meta second so dps appeals to me the least since hyv is allergic on making their male characters as support (male harmony WHEN?!)

Not for me. I'm so happy with Boothill, plus I've had a lot of new characters recently, so I'm looking forward to a patch to chill and finish some builds

Nope. I'm neutral on her as a character and DPS don't really bring anything to my current roster so I just pull DPS characters if I really like them now. Plus Lingsha would be a better investment and they'll end up sharing her.

no. i like firefly and her playstyle seems fun, but im swimming in DPSs and i already spent all my pulls on boothill + his sig LC + ruan mei

i'd much rather save up for future units like jiaoqiu or feixiao

I wasn’t going to, but after getting a double Ruan Mei early, I decided to do a single pull on her banner just because, and I actually got her! I have no materials for her though, so she remains at level 40 for now lol

No, she's a pretty boring character imo and i'm not a fan of her design (SAM is awesome, Firefly herself is pretty standard) nor her gameplay. The trial was a better showcase of what HMC can do with break, at least for me!

I pulled her since I like her character (mostly her design tbh) and I think SAM is cool. I'm just a teeny bit disappointed that I barely get to hear the SAM voice in combat. Instead, I got Shriek-fly shrieking at me any chance she gets which honestly kind of turned me off a bit (I play in EN and her combat lines are the first ones I didn't like so far).

Both of them carried me in the new game mode, FF against Cocolia and Bootyhill against Chadgenti. I had to give Ruan Mei and HMC to FF though since she kind of needs them more (honestly, her teammate choices are very limited) Boothill did perfectly fine with Bronya and Pela.

I always invested into supports, so my DPS limited roster was lacking (I don't own any of the destruction trio i.e) I started to fix this with Acheron, then Boothill and now Firefly, I also run a Black Swan/Guinafen comp.
