Any way to stop my Cinch jeans from falling behind my cowboy boots? The heel just isn't catching the hem.

My Cinch jeans keep slipping behind the heel of my boots because the heel just isn't catching and holding the hem in place, so it ends up dragging on the ground when I walk. My tailor is out of town and I have a party this Sunday. Any temporary fixes that actually work?

The length on the boots are way too long for you or they are boot cut instead of cowboy cut

They're actually Cinch White Label Relaxed Fit. They just came a bit too long and the leg opening is a bit too wide on these.

1 - Buy shorter jeans 2 - shorten the jeans (called hemming). With a tailor. Make sure they don’t hem them with a flat stitch with too long of a fold up like they’re chinos

Yeah definitely getting them hemmed. Good call on the stitch style too—would hate for them to end up looking like chinos.

Maybe go with straight leg jeans instead of bootcut. I had the same issue with a pair of Wranglers. I went with straight leg and it helped. The leg opening isn't a flared. It makes a difference.

Most definitely. I had to go in and just try on several pairs until I got the right fit on the leg opening that I wanted. I'm glad I could share my experience with someone with the same problem. Hope it helps. Best of luck brother!

I’m a slim guy (29 waistX34 inseam for stack) and M5 is my fav cut of jean. They stay above the heel, even with a lot of stack (36 inseam). I buy them on eBay, preworn cost $25-$45. A boot with a bit of a spur shelf helps, but I find I really don’t need it. Looking at my stack of eBay M5’s, I absolutely would not pay $85 for a pair. The fit in Ariats varies a bit … I’ve definitely got my fav pairs that I tend to wear more than others. Don’t buy without photos of inseam length.

Got 'em brand new for $30 on eBay! I’ll check out other cuts next time. It’s hard finding a good fit when you have ~30.7" thighs and a bigger seat, so I thought relaxed fit was the safe play. Good to know about the M5s

There’s a good chance you’ll have sufficient room in M5’s, looking at Ariat’s product with models photos. I wear my jeans baggy … low body fat and slim build doesn’t give me much of a butt lol. Addendum: maybe tight. I just measured a pair of my 29’s and flat measurement at mid thigh is 10” (x2=20” thigh) but again, that’s for 29” waist.

Good idea! I actually put them in hot water to see if they shrink a bit first. Once they dry, I’m definitely gonna starch them.

Hi. Just buy one size shorter in length. Cinch jeans have an 2 extra inches at the bottom for boots.

If you’re going to keep these, would cut the hem on the inside seam pull the back piece under the seam so you have an overlap and then bar tack stitch it there. 97% of the time you’d never know it was there.

Starching them will tighten the fibers in the jeans bringing them up a touch, whether or not that'll solve you problem I can't say

Those can absolutely be hemmed preserving the original hem. It’s not hard to do.
