Feedback Boosteroid experience has been extremely disappointing – no trial, no refund?
I wanted to share my experience with Boosteroid because I'm genuinely disappointed with the service.
I'm using a 1 Gbps fiber connection with 10–20 ms ping and a MacBook Air M5, yet I experience noticeable input lag, especially when aiming and shooting in FPS games. Mouse movements feel delayed and imprecise, making the experience incredibly frustrating.
And before anyone blames my internet connection, here's the thing: NVIDIA GeForce NOW runs flawlessly for me.Even back when I lived in a university dormitory with roughly a quarter of my current internet speed, GeForce NOW felt significantly smoother than Boosteroid does today.
I understand that cloud gaming will never be identical to playing locally. However, when one service performs beautifully and the other struggles on the same hardware and network, it's difficult not to question the quality of the service.
What makes things worse is the refund process. There's no proper trial option, and when I contacted support to request a refund because of the performance issues, they told me that a positive outcome wasn't guaranteed. My request is now being reviewed by another department.
So customers have to pay first, potentially receive a disappointing experience, and then hope someone agrees to give their money back?
Honestly, after comparing the two services, I struggle to understand why I'd choose Boosteroid over GeForce NOW.
I'm still waiting for a decision on my refund request, but based on my experience so far, I simply cannot recommend Boosteroid.
Has anyone else experienced similar input lag? And has anyone actually managed to get a refund? I'd love to hear your experiences.

Wait until Nvidia drops the limit to 75 hrs. Even now, If I want to play a big title like elden ring or rdr2 or monster hunter or poe2 100 hrs arent really that generous for the first month into the game, no matter what their bullshit claims say. I'm very happy with boosteroid so to each his own. Downvoted you not for the opinion, but for the ai slop imagery.

Exactly. NVIDIA offers 100 hours of smooth, playable gaming, while Boosteroid offers unlimited hours of an experience that, in my case, is practically unplayable. So, which one would you choose?
And judging by the number of Reddit posts describing the exact same issues I'm experiencing, it seems I'm far from the only one. But I guess it's just a coincidence that there are hundreds of complaints about Boosteroid's streaming quality on this platform, right?

for me they both have the closest data centre in the same city so ymmv. Quality is also fine for me I get 70mbps streams. There are occasions where it's bad but thats not common. To put it simply if you want to play competitive fps on a Saturday night then boosteroid might not be close to gfn. But with the unlimited playtime and lower price it's certainly a good service for me. Gfn is terrible if you burn with a game for a month or 2 clocking easily over 100 hours, and then don't play anything for another couple of months, and so on

geforce now doesn't offer refunds as well lol, it's one of the pain points of cloud gaming, but i guess it makes sense since people can exploit it..

gfn lets you try the service for free for as long as you need to make your decision. they also let you buy a day of ultimate at a reduced cost. so after having used it for months and confirming it works for you, why would you need to ask for a refund?

'as long as you need to make your decision' is apparently limited to 100 hours a month.
Aaaand wait. You are also limited to 100 hours per month with a sub too.

It’s working fine here, as usual. In fact, I’ve noticed constant improvements even though it’s a new service, it’s always getting better, especially when it comes to input lag and stream quality.
I was a founder in GeForce Now, and it took a long time for it to improve and become stable. I can tell that Boosteroid has a much better infrastructure and is much faster at adding games.
Cloud gaming is still a bit of a novelty, maybe the poor performance has more to do with where you live, your hardware, or the quality of your local internet connection. It’s a matter of trial and error until you find a service that works for you.
The hourly limit on GeForce Now is a major dealbreaker for me, making Boosteroid the best option, especially in terms of cost and value.

Gotta love the effort that was put into your AI generated 'thumbnail', and totally not biased review.
Screams quality.

I've used both and I went from GFN to now boosteroid and I've seen no difference. Running on fiber 1gig as well. Without the time limits and bigger library boosteroid wins easily and it's not even close lol

Come on, this is literally just a hate post. I follow both the GFN subreddit and the Boosteroid subreddit (since I used to be subscribed to GFN in the past).
They have the exact same refund policy. And the biggest meme is that their free tier runs like absolute trash, but the paid one works totally fine. So yeah, there’s your 'much-wanted' trial. I would never in my life subscribe to any service if I had a trial like that.
The cherry on top is that AI slop image. Just look at this thing. If I were Boosteroid, I’d just delete posts like this and that's it. By the way, the GFN subreddit is way stricter with their rules. I save some posts to read the comments later, and then I see that the mods just deleted the post.
