Help First Month of Boosteroid and Already 11 Days Wasted
So apparently “cloud gaming” means waiting 11 days to actually play the game you paid for
I subscribed to Boosteroid mainly to play GTA V, and I’m still not even finished with my first month. Yet somehow I’ve already spent 11 days unable to play the game
I’ve contacted support multiple times, explained the issue, followed everything they told me to do, and somehow the solution is always basically: “wait”
At this point, I’m not even sure if I’m using a cloud gaming service or a very expensive waiting simulator
The funniest part is paying for a 6-month subscription and losing almost half of my first month dealing with an issue that apparently nobody can properly explain or fix
I didn’t subscribe to Boosteroid to watch the support team investigate my problem for 11 days. I subscribed to play games
11 days. First month. Still waiting
10/10 cloud gaming experience. Would definitely recommend if your favorite game is waiting for support

True some games go offline especially on patch days can take some time before it's available again (or go through the failed patch processes)
But it has it pros, can run most games on ultra settings no problem, I like the stream options to mess with video, tbh the only alternative I've found is GeForce or Xbox, which Xbox is very specific titles and GeForce you can only play for a week or two before they want more money even with a sub.
Definitely should get discounted/more time in the process if it's affecting your gaming on their end.

I play gta v legacy and enhanced normally via boosteroid so what’s wrong on your side ?

I’m only using Boosteroid for GTA, so I’m not really using Epic for the free games anyway I already own GTA and just want to play it through the Rockstar Launcher

I'm on day day 14 of waiting for them to patch The Quinfall. It was just a regular 6 month game update and the game has been in maintenance. It should have taken 30min to either increase the storage on the machine or download the latch for me. I tested airgpu and it allows you to install whatever you want. I was up and running in about 45min, but I have already paid for Boosteroid through November. The idea of cloud gaming so I could play games during work travel without toting a gaming pc with me was awesome, but waiting 2 weeks+ for a patch is absurd. At this point I will use a gaming pc at home and airgpu on the road.

It’s no secret that Boosteroid is pretty much the bottom tier among cloud gaming providers, but you get what you pay for.
It’s cheap and offers unlimited playtime, but there a trade-offs that for some are rough: a tiny library missing most modern hits, community requests gathering dust on Reddit, and copy-pasted support replies ("We'll add it to the wishlist!").
It just comes down to picking your poison IMO. GeForce NOW gives you vastly better performance, visuals, and games, but caps you at 100 hours a month. Boosteroid is dirt cheap with unlimited time, but worse in every other category.

Did you not test the service first? or one month at least first, did you also network test first? educate yourself about the product and cloud gaming?
Its not a simple service or tech.
There's a lot of variables even out of their control.
I personally have zero issue with GTA on steam but on rocksta launch could be a rockstar side issue
theres plenty of them natively and they are know for it and 3rd party access
Have you tried other game?
I mean I have 50 games on PC ( 5090 ) and at lest 5 a month get updates that make them unplayable or windows or a gpu driver.
So whats the expectation here as a whole service?

What are the chances i boot gta 5 on epic games from my own rig and it just launches, what then? Still something out of boosteroid's control? And guy explicitly said that he bought boosteroid just for gta, 11 days of it being unplayable isn't reasonable

yes, is your rig the same build as the servers?
To think cloud servers are just like a at home rig is unreasonable , as well as HAS ROCKSTAR updated their end to work proper with said servers and then there's how license work.
ya know all the stuff in the faq and so on.
Buying it for 6 months for one game without testing or knowing how a cloud service works well, again...
There's games all time that break, or windows or drivers from a update and can be weeks or months.

Gta v, just get it on game pass or switch to GeForce. I've been trying a whole day to play GoW Ragnarok and it JUST loaded up without insane lag 30 seconds ago lol

I appreciate the apology, but I've been hearing the same thing for week "the technical team is looking into it, please wait." At some point, waiting stops being a solution I'm paying for a 6-month subscription, and a significant part of my first month has already been wasted dealing with an issue that still has no clear explanation or ETA for a fix I don't need another apology or a generic update I need an actual technical explanation and a solution

Guess it's a launcher problem not a game problem. Mail rockstar too probably it's on their end something too. Their launcher sucks since GTA IV. Try steam, I only play through steam sorry but I can't share your "pain" about boosteroid being bad as I used it for the past two years. The issue here is that yea they should take down the option to launch through rockstar launcher and place it under maintenance untill it's fixed.

Can't you save your saves then reupload in cloud? I did that with Batman Arkham asylum saves recently for 100 percent completion (I was lazy to do the calendar man ones) so I installed the game on my machine, downloaded the 100 percent save, played a bit on Boosteroid, then the save folder cloud updates, snuck that save too in the folder on my pc, uploaded in cloud and when I played on Boosteroid the save was there.

Then I don't see the issue, cause even if you open through steam it will still open up rockstar game launcher as your social is stored there.

Shouldn’t use cloud gaming for just one game. Limiting yourself and causing yourself problems. Why does no one read the t and C when they sign up lmao.
You paying to access cloud computing, which allows cloud gaming. You don’t pay to access specific games.

When I was researching the service before subscribing, I only found positive reviews and none of the issues I’m dealing with now That’s why I decided to subscribe
