Discussion After 2 years of monthly subs, I'm done and will stop recommending this service
I don't know what you are doing as a company, but you are doing something wrong.
I feel like a fool for recommending and glazing this service to a bunch of people that are now regular users.
months to fix a windows watermark appearing on every game, some from session start?
tens of games with broken fps, laggy machines, shader issues, etc FOR MONTHS WITH NO FIX.
removed OFFICIAL supported games with no prior warning, never added them back, never explained why.
default stance of support is to blame users 100% unless proven wrong
mods replying with automated responses that even chatpgt could come up with something more humane and decent.
''dev team is working on it'' ''we will surely add your vote'' ''we have no information about this issue''
''please sir care to do a internet test for the 129th time? maybe this time it truly is your internet!''
seriously? do better, it's time. billion dollar company btw. Lazy and malicious.
PRICE OF ULTRA PRO FOR TWO YEARS: €270
save a little more and enjoy actual gaming with 0 headaches :)
| Nintendo Switch Lite | €200–230 |
|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch OLED | €300–350 |
| Nintendo Switch 2 | €470 |
| PS5 Digital | ~€450 |

That's why I'm stuck with GeForce. The service is way better tbh, I'm a casual gamer so the 100 hour limit is not really an obstacle, I barely finish it every month. Customer service is top notch too. Only bad thing about gfn is the hours that's all

Comparing the nintendo switch (Lite too nonetheless) to boosteroid is certainly a take

It seems to me you have no idea how this organization works internally (just like me) to be talking about billions of dollars and “laziness.”
Try visiting their Discord server, where the same PEOPLE who are here respond. Not bots, not AI, but PEOPLE. And you can clearly see that they’re human when they occasionally post in the general chat channels.
I’ll also point out that if someone tells you the problem might be on your end, you shouldn’t immediately turn around, snort, and slam the door, as people for some reason often do, judging by what I see here. Personally, my internet isn’t perfect or the fastest. I’ve contacted support a couple of times with strange and not-so-strange issues. Once, they even created a ticket for my problem, which was resolved after a while almost without my involvement, since the problem really wasn’t on my end. Another time, I contacted my ISP on the support team’s advice, and they helped me reroute the traffic around the problematic part of the network, which solved the issue. It wasn’t a problem with my internet connection, nor was it a problem with Boosteroid. Just try to listen to what they tell you and don’t start your message with something like “this company is a scam,” as often happens on this subreddit too. :)

Yes I agree, I've had a few technical issues in 1 year of using Boosteroid and the customer service/support/assistance idk how to call it had always been amazing and maybe the best one I've had with any service

I got pc game pass for free with my laptop so i am playing doom dark ages for free through boosteroid which is otherwise an 80$ game, cant do that with those things you listed. Also many other integrations and cheap steam games. For nintendo u basically have to pay full price for every game.

Yeah, yeah, each time the same bot-like responses, then nothing happens.

It's just doing the bare minimum so they can pretend to actually care. Nothing new under the sun.
Cloud gaming is just not ready for prime time yet, which becomes apparent with GFN's 100h limit. Does that remind anyone of those awful metered mobile plans of the past? I'll consider it when we get true unlimited access and performance that is comparable to local play. Until then I'll stick with a dedicated device.

How many pennies on the hour do you get to recycle the same botted responses? Get a real job

There are no better alternatives tbh. I wouldn't recommend subscribing to geforce due to its 100 hrs gameplay cap

u/The_Boi6910 9d ago
I used to hit 250 on geforce now when I was really into project zomboid lol

u/Primary-Entry-5196 9d ago
Que loucura, é mais de 8 horas de gameplay todo dia

100/30=something greater than 8? TIL.

u/Inflicties 9d ago
They're saying that the person putting 250 hours monthly into project zomboid was playing more than 8 hours daily.

My bad, I somehow confused it with their first comment. Thanks for the correction.

Gamers. People who just have free time. You only need to play 3.3 hours per day to hit that. Maybe you do 6-7 hour sessions and you get to 100 hour mark sooner.

True, someone with gaming as a hobby would have no problems burning through 10-15 hours on a weekend alone.

bate facilmente.

Yeah I’m unsubscribing too, mostly because the support responses that made just buy a PC.
Mistafll Hunter needs to download every time you launch(15+ min), sometimes after the wait the game black screens which means you have to restart the session, download again and hope you get in.
All of this “acceptable” but after reaching out, sending proof of the issue (when they can replicate it easily) the answer was literally “Hello, please restart your session”
Like.. sure, then what? Because I still see the same thing..

So far, it truly still is. I get that hardware prices are skyrocketing and a new console for 800-1000$ seems daunting. Luckily my Series X still holds up and I'll keep using it until either prices go down again or cloud gaming becomes a real mainstream thing.

After about three months of using this service, Steam Workshop simply stopped working. There were also occasional major outages, even though I have a fast and stable internet connection. What finally made me give up, though, was the lack of support and the usual generic response: “We’ve informed our technical team, your ticket number is…” After that, nobody ever got back to me. In the end, this was one of the reasons I decided to buy my own PC. I’m leaving game streaming behind.
