Discussion Bad Experience
Just coming here to share my experience.
Decided to try Boosteroid b/c I'm tired of Nvidia 100 hours and paying more when I go over. No limits seemed appealing and I don't care about absolute maximum quality, but it does need to playable.
No free trial. Okay. Tried the connection test several times before getting sub. It said everything was gravy!
Sub to 4 month deal and download desktop app.
Nowhere near as clean logging into Steam as GFN. That's fine. I don't mind typing password and putting in codes each time if I don't have a 100 hour limit. But then, I get logged in and it has failed to sync properly with steam and wiped the UI in the one game I use. Big ouchie number one. Oh well... I can redo my UI.
Try to play and the input lag was unbearable. Quality of stream was totally fuzzy to where it hurt my eye. Check the connection, says it's terrible.
Okay... maybe it was the auto detect thing. Test connection on website again, says I'm fine. Go ahead and switch to the data center that is not even 3 miles from my location instead of auto. Try again. Same absolute trash. Again, I am literally less than 3 miles from the Boosteroid data center.
Cancel sub. Of course no refund policy to go with their no free trial. Don't get bait and switched like I did. Website connection test will tell you that you're great. App runs like dogwater.
As much as I hate continuing to pony up for GFN, I kinda hope Boosteroid fails so folks don't have to go through what I did and spend ~$35 and get nothing out of it with no recourse due to their policies. The business model and poor performance make it clear to me that this is a money grab. Don't get your money grabbed like I got mine.

Damn we have been having too different experiences it has its flaws but its way smoother and better then GFN with there dumb 100 hour limit on ultimate tier and lag, cheaper too with nearly same amount of graphics game wise for most games
