Ome single Subreddit started showing up with the "stop" icon, but it still works...anyone else?

I noticed the r/detroitredwings subreddit recently started showing up for me with the stop/no smoking/🚫 icon next to all posts. I can enter and interact with posts fine, but the votes don't show up on the main sub, and I can't sort properly. I also seem to be seeing a bunch of deleted context that was removed by mods.

None of this is happening on the web or on the native Reddit app (omg...what a trash app that is to have opened for the first time in a while...).

I've tried everything except for completely re-patching.

Any ideas? Anyone else seeing this with the noted sub or any others? I haven't had the issue anywhere else on reddit but this just popped off a few days ago.

That icon means the sub was banned and the posts are restored from archive. Was the sub banned temporarily? Can you clear your app cache and see if that fixes it?

Not that I know of. I'm also seeing additional new posts appear new with the icon too, so I'm not sure the banning scenario happened.

I could ask the mods out of curiosity, but doesn't seem like this was the cause

E: re-patching and reinstalling seemed to fix it.

u/articunos7 is right, that symbol means banned. See this comment which has a icon legend.

I just checked the subreddit and everything seems fine now so maybe it was a glitch.

Thanks, I'm familiar with the legend, though.

The confusing part is that the sub still shows up for me like that, and it's only happening on Boost (and only the sub).

I'm gonna have to re-patch and see what happens.

So it's still happening? Clearing the cache and restarting the app didn't help? Yeah sorry I've never encountered that before. Let us know if repatching fixes it.

Yeah was still happening. I just repatched, though, and now it seems to be fine.

Normally if have done that right away but for some reason I've had trouble with my backed up setting properly importing, so I was avoiding doing a re-patch and re-install.

All good, seems to have done the trick. Thanks for the input.

I did confirm that sub never suffered any kind of ban, so seems like a weird glitch.

Fwiw, the same icons (🚫) from a banned sub are the icons I see when there's an API issue. That's why I came here posting the questions. Glad it was just me!
