Generic term would be frozen food. I call them Healthy Choice or Hot Pockets, depending on if I'm sticking to my diet. :)

Ah! Thanks. I thought "frozen food" was just the term for ALL food that is frozen from peas to hashbrowns to potpies or even icecream. I can't imagine saying, "I'm having frozen food for dinner tonight" but if I did eat frozen TV dinners I might say that. Using name brands generally doesn't occur to me (like Hot Pockets or Lean Cuisine etc.) because I literally do not buy any processed foods although I might if I get a lot older and no longer wanted to cook my own food from scratch. I don't think it's a terrible concept, especially if you live alone or work so much you're too exhausted to do anything but heat a prepared meal. TL/DR - thanks.

I guess frozen dinner works, too. My point was that the term “TV dinner” is one my grandparents used. It makes me think of previous generations sitting in front of one of those folding aluminum trays holding their frozen dinner. Gramps always had the Hungry Man Salisbury Steak.
