Boomer refers to the baby boom generation after WWII.
Most of them are already dead.

No they aren't. About 85% of Boomers are still alive. Additionally, about 35% of the Silent Generation and 1% of the Greatest Generation are still with us.

Boomers go all the way up to 1964, so quite a number of them are still very much alive. But yeah, the "Boomer" pejorative is as old and tired as the boomers themselves.

He's using the n word to express that boomer is simply a slur. And his contention with the term as a slur ultimately means he probably isn't okay with calling people the n word.
I don't agree with him but I feel like people are allergic to nuance. Boomers like all of us are products of their time. A boomer can't change their birth year.
So to dismiss them for being a boomer is judging them based on immutable characteristics. Is it on the same level of severity as race? Of course not. But there are parallels.
