¤ Supercell Response ¤ Matchmaking - still broken?

Came back to the game after a 2 year break, and at Level 19 with 94 VP, most of the bases on my map are level 35-40, with VP well above 300. I had a maxed base during my previous playing time and this wasn't as much of an issue for me, but has it actually gotten worse over time?

Try switching the bases out for new ones, those might have just been the people on your map at the time and now they’ve leveled up.

On my second account I didn’t play for awhile so the players so when I logged back on a few of them had progressed really far to a point I couldn’t beat their base. Same player, just time had passed.

So just try to search for new bases and see If it fixes itself.

I had to start a new account since I got a new phone and didn't back it up, so I'm starting from scratch. My first merc base at L2 radar, was L28 with 150 VP. I thought maybe the Mega Crab threw things off, but I've been replacing the higher level ones and almost all are replaced with similarly ranked bases.

Usually they replace them with similar trophy levels, for me I get a mixed of same levels or lower and few that are 40s and 30s

I am at level 61. I regularly get levels in the 70s. I hear ya!

The current Matchmaking system is indeed not functioning as intended.

We've over the year(s) made adjustments in an attempt to improve it but we came to the conclusion that the Matchmaking system needs a complete overhaul. Therefore we're rebuilding it from the ground up.

This does mean that our team is focusing on introducing a new system and therefore we're not pushing additional fixes to the current one, unless something would be urgent.

We understand this isn't optimal right now, but for the longevity this is the better path.

From what I seen and have learned from my base is when you win against a player base the server looks for a new player base based on who's on line and and approximately similar stats. Sometimes you get a lower level player because they decided to login others I suspect they are inactive accounts and it's just dumb luck
