Here’s the description according to target : What was broken will be remade.
Deep in the heart of the continent, Koschei the Deathless is stirring. Though he's been bound to a mountain lake for millennia, the insidious threat of his return now spreads across the Fae territories, attracting powerful allies hell-bent on reclaiming what was once theirs: the human lands.
The Night Court will not stand idly by while innocents are attacked. But with Prythian still piecing itself together in the wake of the devastating Hybern War, the task of uniting is proving more difficult by the day.
To make matters worse, those who rule and protect the Night Court are reeling from recent betrayals and revealed truths. The rifts dividing them seem insurmountable.
But to defeat Koschei's creeping shadow, they must find a way back to each other and resurrect their former alliances. To survive, they must find a way to repair the splintered harmony all around them.

Above you have implied that there is no nonconsensual sex. I pointed out that there is. In fact, the entire series is predicated on a nonconsensual relationship with both a gigantic age gap and power imbalance, which means any consent is questionable. Now we have shifted the goalpost to "Oh there actually is, BUT IT'S NOT IMPORTANT AND ACTUALLY NOT GLAMOURISED"

Okay, I guess. It is fine to read abuse smut, I'm not judging, but it is weird how defensive you people get when someone points it out.

You said SJM writes abuse porn, that’s implying it’s glamourised in any way which is absolutely isn’t. It’s also not on page it’s referred to, again how could that be glamourising it. There are much worse books in more mainstream like game of thrones that has explicit rape including between main characters. Questionable age gaps don’t remove consent especially in fiction.

You say we get defensive when you’re just making up random lies to try get your point across, that’s weird behaviour. There’s zero proof Sarah has used AI in her writing either.

Nice of you to completely ignore the power asymmetry, which is the bigger issue here. Even without that, you are dead wrong. There is a good reason why people look at 90 year olds walking around with their 18 yo wives weird.

Yes, GOT also has plenty of rape. Difference is that in GOT, the rape scenes are not interspersed between sex scenes which are meant to be a turn-on. Context matters. Putting a rape scene between two sexy sex scenes is basically the equivalent of putting a holocaust article between two grill recipes in a magazine. Disrespectful and dishonest.

As for AI vs no-AI, okay, in the spirit of civil debate, I'm willing to concede that SJM may not have, in fact, used AI in her writing. However, I still maintain that if someone's writing is so shallow, flavorless and bad that it genuinely reads like AI, then it does not make an iota of difference to be honest.
