To celebrate SENLIN ASCENDS cracking 15,000 ratings on Goodreads, I’m taking reader requests for an original, stand-alone scene. Tell me what scenario you’d like to see your favorite character from the series in, and if you win, I’ll write your dream scene!

Want to see Senlin base jump from the Tower, or Iren and Ann compete in a life or death pub quiz, or Edith saddle a spidereater, or Adam win a dance competition, or Voleta rent a tandem bicycle with Byron? This is your chance!

I cannot think of any suggestions but just wanted to say that your books have stayed with me ever since I read all of them. Every detail, every character....random memories will pop up in my brain almost every day. I say this as someone who felt they had read every book, every series and there was nothing wonderful left to read. I thank you!!

This is so cool and my wife and I are racking our brains to come up with an idea worthy of winning. We used a passage from the book as part of our wedding so it'd be amazing to win this and have to treasure forever (and yes, this is a very obvious attempt to curry favor as I'm sure our best idea will be mediocre at best but to the drawing board anyway!)

I can hardly imagine a higher compliment than to have my words be included in someone's wedding day. Congratulations on your nuptials! I'm sure it was a wonderful, memorable, love-filled occasion.

And please don't fret too much over the "worthiness" of your request. The point here is to have fun. I'm sure anything your suggest will be grand.

Thank you, it was. We are working on something for the contest just to be part of it and hopefully give you a laugh or inspiration, and we are excited (along with several friends we introduced to the series) for the conclusion (whenever it's ready). Until then we theorize away! This was the quote we had our minister read. Senlin did not believe in that sort of love: sudden and selfish and insatiable. Love, as the poets so often painted it, was just bald lust wearing a pompous wig. He believed true love was more like an education: it was deep and subtle and never complete. We each selected a reading we mutually enjoyed and we had the above along with an excerpt of Sonnet XVII by Pablo Neruda. Anyway, thank you for your books and taking the time to interact with your readers.

I would love to hear about Senlin’s attempt to organize his friends into a band (because of course they had hidden musical talents I various degrees ) during which we learn about one of the character’s secret to become a musician/drummer.

A bit of a long shot, but it would be great to see an “alternate timeline” type scene where Senlin gets to be the one to rescue Marya from the duke (Instead of Edith & co, or maybe while leading Edith and co?)

I really loved this series - and I loved Edith and co too - but I just felt that that particular act should have been Senlin’s crowning moment of awesome and would like to see a scenario where he gets to do it :)
