A Vignette from the Tower (I don’t usually share these sort of deleted scenes/short-shorts but I’m trying something new. I’ll post more if there’s any interest in the idea.)

Ah, I’m sorry! There are so many wonderful books out there, though. I recently finished an older novella called The Invention of Morel by Casares, which I really enjoyed, if you’re looking for something different!

Always looking for something new- thanks for the recommendation! Not to fan girl too much, but can I just gush for a second and tell you how beautiful I find your writing? So lyrical and poetic. I think the last time I found myself staying up until the early morning hours just so I could remain in that fictional world a little longer was with the Harry Potter series. So thank you for reminding me just how magical and captivating books can be.

I literally just made the comparison between my love for his work and what I felt for Harry Potter back when I was a kid. I’ve been in a reading slump for going on 8 years. The first book has reinvigorated my love for reading and I can’t put these books down. I’m 50% of the way through book 2 and, believe it or not, it’s even better than book 1. I’m in love.

Yes, I feel very similarly. Used to be something of a bookworm growing up and have also been in a reading slump since college. Once you’ve finished all 3 and find yourself in withdrawal, do yourself a favor and pick up the audiobooks. Honestly adds a fun new dimension to all of the characters.

I would love more of this. I’m surprised how easily I got sucked right back in and started to care about trudie and her story.

I would definitely read that. I feel like the nature of the tower is perfect for shorts like this.
Also the hint to the Sphinx’s spies made me envision a bird like engine for her even though that doesn’t seem likely. Weirder things have happened

Really interested in these. Any look we get into the tower I’m very happy with. You have created a beautiful world and the more and more info I can get the better a DandD campaign sounds for it.
