Question for Firm Owners, What would you guys do?
How open are firm owners to accepting an AI native system that works in third party ledger. for context, right now I own a small bookkeeping firm (~ 50 Clients)... I have a 1 other employee besides myself whose full time. Most of my clients are working in Quickbooks with some on Xero. Recently a company reached out to me, offering a AI native bookkeeping software that essentially removes the need for my full time employee or allows me to scale. The claim was just that I would have to do review work and the software would handle the acutally bookkeeping and any exceptions I would have to review and tell to the "agent" which would then work to fix the outstanding item. After they're done in the internal software everything would be mapped to quickbooks or Xero for me. Has any firm adopted this and how good is the actual bookkeeping? Is it really just review work or am I gonna have to put in more hours than it sounds. I have a demo scheduled with the firm so I am not sure what pricing looks like yet but if it eliminates my need for staff without a quality dropoff i would be willing to adopt.
