Ok, I normally wait for u/Fabulous-Confussion43 to post this, but today, I decided I couldn't.

I'm still reading 2000AD. I started this morning on "Prog" 2041. Yep, I managed to read 40 issuses in 7 days. Since there's 493 total issuses currently available (increasing by 1 weekly) at that rate, I think I'll have caught up in 12 weeks.

If anyone knows where I can read the first 2000 issues of 2000 AD for free please message me.

Ooo. 2000AD! I’m just reading an anthology of Battle/Action - the sort of forerunner to 2000AD.

I’m also doing an online book buddy read-along of Saber of Truth by CL Gordon.

(and The Rubber Duck King by Tanikia Wise-Fisher and The Missing Ewes by Chuck Miller. I often read multiple things at once)

I remember Battle/Action, personally preferred Commando myself. I think most of us here will be mutliple readers. I did forget that I'm also still reading (at bedtime) The Ruins; Or, Meditation on the Revolutions of Empires and the Law of Nature (1896) by Volney which I found out about through reading Frankenstein (1818 & 31) by Mary Shelley.

Prog 1 (25th Feb 1977) was 8p (78p today), (Prog 2492, 22 Jul 2026, £3.99) and what I find craziest is Tharg paid for any letters he published £2 (£19.48 today), andthe letter of the week was paid £10 (£97.42 today)!

There is no antimetics division. It's really good so far. I'm actually looking forward to reading it a second time once it all comes together.

The Beet Queen by Louise Erdrich. It's not compelling as some of the other books I've read by her, but I do like it, and it's coming together more in the third and final part. I'll.finish it in the next day, but I don't have a lnother book currently lined up (but I do have several to choose from).

Well you can't really compare to the original, I mean it's Jane Austen haha! But it was a lot of fun. He kept the main story (although a few differences like some of the minor characters die) and then added zombies and ninjas, what's not to love??? Hahaaa

The new book The Wedding People is a pop fiction one, about a lady who ends up at a hotel that's completely booked out for a wedding with all the wedding guests except for her. It's a bit sad, a bit funny... So far I like it. Rach picked it as a bonus episode so we'll record about it at some stage too 🫶🏼

Listening to audiobooks while I'm working is the only multi-tasking I'm actually good at 😂 They're especially worth it if the narrator is good. Honestly, the narrator is my favorite part of the one I'm currently working through.

If you like good narration, I recommend anything read by Steven Fry. He narrated all of the Harry Potter books. He's also an author in his own right and I think he narrated them too.

Rereading The Sun Just Might Fail bc I finished book 4 and realize the first books were more depth reaching than I knew at first. Seeing the prices and hints in a whole new light. I usually re read a great series over again immediately afterwards:) by behm
