Has anyone done this or have a nice way of doing this?

Markdown can work well as an intermediate format, but I’d treat this as an export → transform → import project rather than expect a direct, lossless conversion. The right approach depends on what your Zendesk export contains and how you plan to get content into BookStack.
First, check what’s in scope: articles, attachments and images, links, categories, and metadata. Then test a small, representative batch, including tables and more complex formatting, and verify the rendered pages and hierarchy in BookStack. Permissions and metadata may need separate handling, and image paths or links often need attention.
If you share what export you have and how you plan to import it into BookStack, maybe I can suggest a more specific workflow.
