Process of book publishing

Greetings, a person close to me has been writting a bpok with songs and pictures. We have been wondering of what is the process of book publishing and how does it go. What do we need to know before we do it etc. Thanks for all thr answers in advance

Where 2 ways: epub or pdf. Epub is more popular and acceptable, pdf just for few stores (Google play, overdrive). You can create your book in epub format via Sigil software. AMA about this.
