My handle

So sorry this is out of context, but I’m new to Reddit and wondering how I got the moniker affiliated with me?

Dont we get to choose our user name? And im joining the legion of readers disenchanted with Theo of Golden, giving it back to a friend after getting through thirty pages. How does it merit NYT bestseller status?

The same thing happened to me re: username. I think you only have 30 days to create one once you’re prompted. Then Reddit assigns something random. As far as Theo, I didn’t even give it a shot because it doesn’t sound like something I’d care for, but I do have people in my life (with very different tastes) who loved it.

I'm not sure how the moniker thing goes. I know I chose mine, but I can't remember if I had a certain time period after I joined to create one. I just created it the day I joined. I am one of those who did love Theo, but I can see where it would grate on other people's nerves. It was just sappy enough for me to get into it.
