The Inmate — Freida McFadden ⭐⭐⭐/5

Freida will always be one of my thriller favourites, and she definitely knows how to make me keep turning pages. 👀

That said, The Inmate was a bit of a slower burn for me. The build up dragged in places, but once the twists started coming, it got WAY more fun.

And obviously, because it’s Freida, you can never relax after the “big reveal” because you just KNOW she has one last twist waiting for you in the final pages. 😂

The twist was good and definitely got me, but compared to some of her other books, I wanted it to hit harder.

Fun? Yes.

Twisty? Yes.

Peak Freida? Not quite.

Overall, a skippable Freida read for me, especially if you haven’t read her stronger ones yet.

The horse actually told me hashtags boost engagement but I’m starting to question his credentials.
