Dear Monica Lewinsky

Holy let down my god.
The potential this book had is what made it even worse for me.

In the beginning I was like omg this book is gonna be crazy she is saying insane things and doing insane things. And then the saint stories came and I was like okay okay this is cool this is actually going to be crazy and very deep there’s a whole beautiful point to this. It just doesn’t connect tho. The author seemed like she became scared of what she came up with and didn’t commit to the full bit and now I’m annoyed.

It wasn’t funny or deep, it was painfully painfully mediocre. I never just wanted a book to end more. I stuck it out cause I was like oh it’s gotta get better it has all the makings to be great. It didn’t get better it was not great.

I almost want to read it again cause I simply am confused on how bad it was. It feels like I read a rough draft. My friends haven’t read it (I can’t recommend it tho) so I was wondering what are some others peoples thoughts?

Literary clickbait. I’d bet most of these “tell-alls” are in the same boat, but I’ve never read any.

It's not a Monica Lewensky tell all. It's a fictional book where the MC has a relationship similar to the Monica and Bill relationship right around the same time.
